Chapter 257: The Gift
Anna laughed. "I'll go ask my sister-in-law. I didn't know about this!"
Melissa could tell that Anna was also enjoying the drama.
She didn't believe that the Hopkins family would accept Eula.
After finishing the call, Melissa returned to the living room.
Eula was sitting next to David, who still doted on her as he always had.
With three kids around now, David seemed to have set aside any previous reservations about Eula.
Geoffrey was also there, and today, he gifted David a set of high-end porcelain, which David cherished like a treasure.
He kept appreciating it while Geoffrey explained its details.
Eula couldn't help but laugh at the other members of the Lowe family being sidelined.
Sure enough, as long as Eula was back, the other Lowe family members collectively lost favor.
"Dad, dinner is ready. Everyone can come to eat," Melissa said.
Everyone went into the dining room, which was very large in the main building of the Lowe family.
Eula, Geoffrey, and the three kids sat at the main table with David.
There were also three male members from the Lowe family, while the other women sat at a smaller table, far from David.
David valued Geoffrey highly; he was also a promising young man in the city, and everyone could see that.
David even had a few drinks with Geoffrey. After dinner, the three kids played with David for a while before leaving.
Geoffrey walked beside Eula, a warm, sunny smile on his face; he was genuinely in a good mood tonight.
The Lowe family didn't send Eula and the others back, but Geoffrey had already arranged for a business car to pick them up.
The three kids got into the business car, and Eula and Geoffrey talked by the car.
"Geoffrey, thank you for today!" she said.
If Geoffrey hadn't come, the three kids would still be facing David and the Lowe family without proper recognition.
Those relatives of the Lowe family would still curse the three kids as bastards.
Now they all kept their mouths shut, and David had acknowledged them.
Everything was great, and Eula felt grateful.
Geoffrey reached out to tuck Eula's wind-blown hair behind her ear. "No need to thank me, I should have come to see Grandpa earlier."
He regretted not coming sooner. If he had been more proactive earlier, Eula would have married him by now.
Eula frowned slightly; it seemed Geoffrey still didn't understand her feelings.
So she explained, "You're not the children's father. I'll clear your name in the future."
Geoffrey's gaze deepened. "It's cold outside. Let'sget in the car! You should know I’m willing to be the kids' father, right?"
He had watched the three kids grow up and had been part of Eula's pregnancy and childbirth.
Even if he wasn't their biological father, he was at least half a father to them.
Eula certainly didn't doubt that. She bent down and got into the car, and Geoffrey followed.
At that moment, David's servant Henry came running out, "Mr. Lowe said these are gifts for the three kids."
Three paper bags were handed through the window to Eula.
She didn't know what was inside, but it was David's gesture.
"Henry, thank Grandpa for me!" Eula took them and held them in her arms.
David was very happy tonight, and the knots in his heart had finally been untied.
Henry them off. "Ms. Lowe, do remember to visit Mr. David Lowe more often; he misses you."
Eula waved back at him. "Will do, Henry."
As the car drove away from the Lowe family gate, she glanced at the three paper bags, wondering what David had given the three kids.
Eula was very curious, so she opened one to take a look.
She was surprised to see that it was a villa in Starry Villas.
Eula quickly opened the other two; they were all villas. David had given each of the three kids a villa.
And they were all next to each other. Eula was so shocked she was speechless.
Eula, who had been thinking about buying a small house, now had three large villas.
