Chapter 478 Hard to Speak
Suddenly, everyone at the table started to pity her. "We thought Eula was going to have a good life, but it turns out she's marrying a blind man."
"Yeah! Instead of enjoying life, she's going to be taking care of someone."
Debra glanced at her daughter. "See that? Don't be like Eula, falling in love too early and giving yourself to a man. Be like Kristina, find the best man in the world to marry."
Lucy was eating fruit, completely uninterested in the gossip, but the topic still turned to her.
She furrowed her brows slightly. "Got it."
Isabella couldn't stand it anymore. "Even if he's blind, it can be treated. What era are we living in now?"
She was sitting next to Eula, constantly getting food for her. She liked Eula the most.
Eula tugged at her hand under the table, signaling her not to speak, lest Patricia scold her, especially Melissa, who would cause trouble for her again.
Melissa cleared her throat, and instantly, everyone fell silent. "Just say a few fewer words. Eula is marrying into the Hopkins family. The Hopkins family is second only to the Nash family in City A, so it's still a prestigious family."
It sounded like she was speaking up for Eula, but in reality, she was flaunting that her daughter had married the best.
At this moment, Eula's phone rang. She got up and walked to the side to answer it.
It was a call from Darcy. She answered. "Darcy."
"Tonight, the Lowe family is celebrating for you and has invited me too. I'll come over later. Congratulations on the award!" Darcy's voice was filled with joy, and it was clear she was genuinely happy for her.
"Thank you! It would be great if Estelle could come too."
Estelle had a great relationship with the three kids, and gatherings like this made the children the happiest.
Darcy glanced at Estelle on the hospital bed. She hadn't been in good spirits lately. "The surgery is next week. Once she gets better, I'll take her wherever I go."
They both laughed, and Darcy added, "Alright, you take care. Be careful not to let that mother-daughter duo scheme against you."
"Yeah, I know."
After hanging up, she decided to go for a walk. Sitting inside and listening to their gossip always ended up involving her.
She needed some fresh air to feel more comfortable.
Isabella followed her out. "Eula."
Eula turned to look at her. "Why did you come out?"
"It's so boring inside. I don't like listening to their gossip. Let's walk around the yard!"
Isabella took her hand. "Eula, are you really going to marry Geoffrey?"
She had met Geoffrey before. He was quite handsome and had a good demeanor.
Eula was taken aback. This matter was becoming increasingly troublesome.
"Isabella, I haven't considered marriage yet," Eula replied.
Isabella was slightly surprised. "You haven't? They talk as if you're getting married tomorrow!"
The flowers in the yard were in full bloom. It was late spring, not too hot or cold, and the two walked hand in hand.
"Kristina is so smug! If she really marries Judson, we'll all have to watch her face." She sighed at this. "It would be great if you married Judson. He's handsome and has good eyes."
Judson was the dream man of almost every woman in City A, including Isabella. So she thought Eula and Judson were a better match because she knew Eula well.
At least Eula was much better than Kristina. If she married, she wouldn't be arrogant or make them suffer.
Hearing this, the light in Eula's eyes dimmed slightly.
In reality, she was the one truly dating Judson, but she couldn't say it, especially in this family. It was a very uncomfortable feeling.
