Chapter 119 Don't You Want to Be a CEO's Wife?

Eula just realized that she hadn't drunk all that for nothing.

After getting so drunk last night and waking up with an allergy this morning, she still felt terrible and had a pounding headache.

If Elbert Hicks didn't keep his promise, she would be at a total loss.

So, she wanted Judson on her side. She had noticed that those two seemed intimidated by Judson, and with his support, she felt that Elbert Hicks wouldn't dare to back out.

Judson let out a cold laugh, "Did you really not catch on that he was deceiving you?"

"What?" Eula was utterly naïve and hadn't suspected Elbert Hicks's deceit.

Judson knew she'd react this way, "Did he say he'd 'consider it' after you drank it?"

Eula nodded, "Yes! That's exactly what he said."

Judson reached out and patted her head, "Even after considering, he's not going to agree."

Eula was stunned. Could it really be like that?

Turns out they're all the same, fond of deceiving others—how annoying!

Eula puffed out her cheeks in annoyance, "But I went through all that trouble. Are you saying it was for nothing?"

Seeing her so indignant, Judson kindly reminded her.

"Eula, Elbert Hicks is a Brigadier General; his profession is very special, and he needs to be in peak physical condition. That's why he won't donate bone marrow to your friend's child."

Hearing this left Eula enveloped in confusion.
As much as it sounds harsh, Estelle is so adorable - a tiny spark of life! I can't just stand by and watch her fade away from the world.

Eula had a pained expression, unsure of what to do next.

Arriving at the office, they got out of the car. Eula deliberately lagged behind, walking at a snail's pace.

Judson entered the elevator and, seeing her still some distance away, called out loudly, "Eula, hurry up!"

The receptionist and the security guard heard him. She glanced at him, initially wanting to keep her distance so people wouldn't think she got her job through connections. She earned her place on merit and didn't want to listen to any gossip.

But Judson, that clueless guy, had no idea of her sentiment. His voice, loud as it was, would soon be the talk of the company.

Eula had no choice but to bow her head and rush into the elevator.

Standing beside him, Judson pressed the close button and then turned to look at her. She felt a little uncomfortable under his gaze and managed a small smile.

"Judson, why are you staring at me? Is there something on my face?"

Suddenly, her eyes caught sight of a bruise on his neck - a noticeable purplish bruise.

Her eyes widened in shock and she quickly looked away, hoping it wasn't her doing.

Eula tried to remember but came up blank. It couldn't be her. Absolutely not. She was well-behaved even when she'd had a little too much to drink. She wouldn't bite someone.

Judson noticed she'd seen the mark. He smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Are you reluctant to enter the office with me?"

His voice was low and cool, with a teasing edge.

Eula snapped back to reality. "Judson, you might not have heard, but everyone at the office is saying I'm the future CEO's wife. It's better if we're not seen together, to avoid further misunderstanding."

Judson touched the mark on his neck and winced.

Eula's eyes widened again, but she quickly looked away, eager to avoid any discussion about the bite.

Judson's smile grew thicker and more mischievous. "Eula, don't you want to be the CEO's wife? With that title, you'd have the Nash Group behind you, plus me. You'd be a rich woman."
