Chapter 452 Treating Susan to a Meal
She leaned her head against his back, deeply inhaling his scent.
It was a fresh and clean smell, with a hint of cool mint.
Judson stroked her hand that was wrapped around his waist, "My business is already done. We'll go back together tonight."
Hearing this, Eula laughed. She was laughing at herself, feeling like she was becoming more and more attached to him.
And Judson, holding her, felt the same way. He thought he was becoming more and more unable to be without Eula.
At eleven o'clock, they returned to the beach house.
Eula changed her clothes and then looked at Judson, who was leaning against the closet door, watching her, as if it was the first time she had seen him so free.
She walked towards him and reached out to touch his face. "If you don't have work today, just sleep here. You definitely didn't sleep well last night."
He had gotten up so early today that there were dark circles under his eyes.
Although he didn't show any signs of fatigue, everyone would get tired.
Judson responded, "Okay, I'll take you over."
Eula had no reason to refuse, so she nodded with a smile.
Judson drove a blue convertible, and Eula sat in the passenger seat as they drove along the coastal road. She squinted her eyes slightly, looking at the beautiful scenery outside.
But the sunlight was very strong here, a bit dazzling.
Judson put on his sunglasses and then handed her a pair.
Eula took them, put them on, and felt comfortable. The wind was blowing against her skin, cool and refreshing.
She turned to look at Judson, who was wearing a white T-shirt and sunglasses, looking handsome and dashing, like a character from a comic book.
Eula suddenly felt that God had been kind to her. After giving her so many hardships, it had given her such a man. She felt that all the suffering she had endured was just to exchange for him.
It seemed worth it.
Eula had arranged to meet Susan at a restaurant on the pedestrian street, where cars couldn't enter, so they stopped by the roadside.
She turned to look at him, "I'm getting out now. Remember to have lunch, don't go hungry, okay?"
She sounded like a little wife taking care of him, and Judson took off his sunglasses, looking at her affectionately. "Okay, after your meeting, I'll come to pick you up. Remember to call me."
Eula smiled, "Alright!"
It felt so good to have someone pick her up, so she didn't have to call a cab herself. Sometimes, she never knew what kind of people were driving those cabs.
For example, sometimes the car would be nearby but wouldn't come over, and when you called, the number was disconnected, forcing her to cancel the ride and pay the fee.
Thinking about it, although it was frustrating, it wasn't worth the trouble. If the driver was a bad person, it would be even worse.
However, this driver was pretty good.
Always available when called, drove well, and was handsome too.
Eula quickly stopped her thoughts. If Judson knew she thought of him as a driver, he would definitely be furious.
She quickly opened the car door, got out, and waved at him.
"Bye! Be careful on the road." After saying that, she turned and ran off, looking playful.
Judson couldn't help but curl his lips into a smile.
Eula must have been a playful and cute girl before, but she had suffered too much, which made him feel even more for her.
Eula entered the restaurant and found no other customers, only seeing Susan sitting by the window, facing away from the door.
She remembered this restaurant was a well-known one, usually requiring reservations and a waitlist to dine in.
What was going on today?
She had checked and heard the food here was good, which was why she wanted to treat Susan to a meal.
Seeing the scene, she felt a bit guilty. Could it be that the online reviews were all lies?
A waiter saw her come in and approached. "Miss, we're not open for business today."
Just as the waiter finished speaking, Susan waved in their direction. "Eula, over here."
