Chapter 335 Don't Cry

Eula's leg was killing her, so they were moving at a snail's pace.

They shuffled into the living room and found the landlord all tied up with a gag in her mouth.

Judson whipped out a handgun from his coat and said, ice-cold, "Eula, you two hide."

He then slipped out quietly. Eula, scared out of her mind, whispered, "Judson, be careful."

Judson shot her a look. "Hide well!"

Eula quickly untied the landlord and yanked the gag out of her mouth. The landlord started bawling. "Eula, I'm scared."

Eula was scared too, but she clamped her hand over her mouth. "Don't make a sound."

Her leg was throbbing, but they had to hide, or things would get ugly.

Eula dragged her bum leg and pushed the landlord. "Find a spot to hide and keep quiet."

Glancing at her leg, Eula gritted her teeth and hid in the upstairs closet.

Judson quickly scoped out the sniper's spot in the yard and took him out with one clean shot.

He blew on the barrel of his gun, gave the dead guy a cold stare, and a flash of killer instinct flickered in his eyes.

Just then, he heard a scream. "Let go of me, let go of me."

It was Eula's voice. Judson bolted upstairs. He'd underestimated the enemy; there was more than one.

Bursting into the second-floor bedroom, he saw Eula being held by Mario, a cold gun pressed to her head.

Seeing Judson, Mario sneered. "Didn't think you'd be this good, taking down that hitman effortlessly. I really underestimated this chick."

He cocked the gun, the sound making Eula's face go pale. She shook her head at Judson. "Run, don't worry about me, go."

She didn't care if she died; she trusted him to take care of her three kids, but he couldn't die.

The Nash family had only one heir. If he died, what would happen to his grandparents?

Judson glared at him. "How much? Is $15 million enough? $30 million?"

Mario's eyes lit up at the numbers, clearly tempted.

Judson, sharp as ever, noticed he was in it for the money.

"$45 million."

Mario's Adam's apple bobbed; he was tempted and knew Judson could pay up. $45 million was chump change to him.

"Alright, write a check. Cash on the barrelhead."

Judson pulled out a checkbook from his bag, scribbled a check for $45 million, tore it off, and held it out. "Come and get it."

Mario, dragging Eula, walked step by step towards him, grabbed the check with one hand, and laughed at the numbers on it.

Judson yanked Eula over; her terrified eyes and tear-streaked face were gut-wrenching.

When Mario got the check, he remembered Kristina's orders. She wanted Eula dead. He wanted both the money and to keep Melissa and Kristina happy.

'Now that I have the money, I could kill Eula and skip the country, and Judson couldn't do squat.' Thinking this, as he walked to the door, he suddenly turned and fired at Eula.

Judson pulled Eula into his arms and rolled to the ground.

The first shot missed, but the second hit Judson in the head. Mario was also shot in the heart and dropped. Seeing Judson protect Eula even in death, he couldn't wrap his head around it. He died without figuring it out.

Eula, still in shock, saw Judson bleeding from his head when she snapped out of it. She was terrified and half-held him. "Judson, Judson, you can't die."

She cried out, and Judson opened his eyes. "I'm fine, not dying. Don't cry."
