Chapter 213 Sky-High Debt

Eula pulled out her ID from the bag. "I have my ID. I signed a contract with you before. I am the mother of that child, all right? Let me see her first."

The man inside glanced at Eula and the ID in her hand.

After confirming the photo, he finally opened the door.

The air quality inside the room was poor, with men loudly playing dice and drinking, the choking smell of smoke making her cough involuntarily.

"Boss, the woman who owes the money is here."

The man sitting at the head of the table, drinking, looked over.

Before going upstairs, Eula deliberately messed up her makeup, so now she looked quite ugly.

Her eyes were dark, resembling a panda, her lipstick smudged beyond the boundaries, staining the sides of her lips like a bloodthirsty creature.

The man glanced once and then averted his eyes, clearly showing disdain.

"Once you've paid the money, you can take your daughter and leave," he said coldly, the scar on his face slightly twitching as he spoke, making it uncomfortable to watch.

Eula handed over the card. "The money is all in here. You can swipe it directly, or I can transfer it."

Originally, she didn't want to touch this card. In her mind, the fifty thousand in this card must have been given by her grandfather.

So she couldn't touch it, nor did she have the face to touch the money in this card.

But today was different. Angie was in their hands, and she had to save Angie.

Pride and arrogance didn't matter anymore; none of it was as important as saving Angie.

The man gestured to his men to take the card and withdraw the money, while Eula stood there watching those men, speaking vulgarly, cursing, and drinking.

This scene was the first time she had witnessed it, and it was quite shocking to her.

In the world, there were not only rich young masters like Judson, handsome and elegant, but also those she saw tonight.

Not ordinary people, dirty, smelly, ugly, bad-tempered men full of hostility.

She tightly held her handbag, thankful that she had made herself look like a ghost before going upstairs.

Otherwise, a woman like her in front of these men would be like prey.

As long as they set their sights on her, she would be done for.

Rex and the chubby man also sat at the table, drinking with them.

Each man's face was filled with excitement, eating meat heartily, drinking, their voices getting louder one after another.

Eula glanced at the room not far away, why was it taking so long to swipe the card?

They needed to finish swiping the money quickly, it would be best for her to leave with Angie, to avoid any further delays.

If these people got drunk, it would only be more dangerous for them.

She was anxious, her big eyes constantly looking towards the door.

Suddenly, a woman in a tight red dress swayed out, "Hubert, there's not enough money in this card!"

The man's fierce gaze turned towards her, "Miss, are you playing games with us? Not enough money, and you want to redeem someone?"

Eula quickly explained, "There's exactly fifty thousand in there. It's the principal I borrowed from you. Can I make up the interest tomorrow?"

Tonight's events were too sudden, she hadn't had time to find Darcy.

So there was only fifty thousand, she was hoping to plead with them, to be lenient.

The principal had been repaid, so they shouldn't be afraid of her running away.

The man suddenly sneered, "Just repaying the principal? Miss, do you think we are fools?"

The woman beside him hugged his neck and laughed too.

"Mrs. Lowe, you probably didn't calculate carefully, did you? When you borrowed, it was fifty thousand. Originally, if not repaid in a month, it would be 550,000. But not only did you not repay in a month, you delayed for another month. Do you know that this month incurs compound interest, and it has already rolled up to two million?"

Upon hearing this, Eula's eyes widened in shock.

"Two million?"

"Yes, it's around two million twenty-three thousand now, and it won't be the same price tomorrow."

Eula was flustered, angry, and cursed, "Are you robbing people? How can you calculate like this?"
