Chapter 45 Miss Lowe

The next day, Eula left early in the morning to go to the company. Eula used to work for the Lowe family.

Eula, therefore, had never taken public transportation before. But over the six years since she had left The Lowe family, she had learned to take the subway and the bus. She rarely took taxis because she cherished money and knew that time equaled money.

The subway was always crowded, and she arrived at the company's office, sweaty, at 7:50 a.m. After clocking in, she headed to the CEO's office on the top floor. She went to report to the Director of Secretarial Affairs, who had already received a message from the CEO yesterday and had added a desk to his office for the new private secretary who would start today.

She brought Eula into the CEO's office and pointed at the desk by the entrance. "You'll be working here from now on."

Eula nodded slightly, showing her gratitude. Nancy glanced at her, thinking that this woman was quite pretty but dressed average. Her outfit was clearly outdated. However, the treatment she received was something that no one in the secretarial department had ever experienced.

Nancy had figured out that this woman probably had a special relationship with the CEO and might even become the future CEO's wife. So, she treated her politely, saying, "You're welcome. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me."

Eula thought that people at The Nash Group were particularly easygoing and friendly to others.

She sat down at her desk with a computer and a telephone. Eula took out her water cup and placed it on the desk, then she looked around.

His office was spacious and bright, mainly decorated in white and gray. She didn't know what she should do, so she walked to his desk and prepared to tidy it up.

At that moment, the door opened, and a man wearing a black coat walked in. He took off his coat, and Myles intended to take it, but when he noticed Eula was there, he called her instead. "Miss Lowe, hang up this coat."

Eula knew it was her duty, so she walked over and took the coat that Judson had removed, hanging it on the rack. She returned to her position and watched as he gave instructions to Myles, his expression truly resembling that of a domineering king. It was true what they said about men being most attractive when they were working. Today, she finally understood.

As Myles was leaving, he passed by her desk and gave her a slight smile. "Miss Lowe, Mr. Nash likes to have a cup of black coffee every day when he comes to work."

It was a reminder for her, and Eula stood up. "Oh, I'll go make it right away."

She followed Myles out of the office, and he showed her around the CEO's office. There were two pantry rooms, with one dedicated to the CEO. Everything inside was what Judson normally used, from water to coffee, and everything was top-notch brands, and ridiculously expensive. Although Eula was currently poor, she used to be a rich young lady and was familiar with various brands. Myles patiently explained to her, sharing Judson's preferences, and Eula took notes on her phone. She was determined to serve that man well.

After all, a salary of $30,000 is life-changing for her.

Eula entered the office with a cup of coffee and placed it on Judson's desk.

"Judson, here's your coffee. I added some milk to make it easier on your stomach."

He doesn't usually add milk or sugar to his coffee, which would make it bitter and not good for his stomach.

Judson finally looked up and glanced at her. He was dressed in a black suit today, with a white shirt and a navy blue tie, which made him appear even colder.

"Eula, as my personal secretary, do you know what to do? You're supposed to pick me up from home in the morning and drop me off in the evening. You didn't come this morning, so I'll deduct some of your bonus from your salary."
