Chapter 55 Daughter Falls Ill

Both middle-aged men at the table stood up and approached him.

"Judson, what a coincidence. Shall we all sit together?" one of them suggested.

Geoffrey's hands were empty now, and he looked at the woman in Judson's embrace with displeasure, wanting to snatch her away.

Madam Hopkins firmly held onto him and whispered, "Son, that young lady is still here. Don't embarrass her. An unmarried woman who has given birth to a child is not worthy of you."

Geoffrey's father, Cesar, and Sophia's father, Harold, stepped forward. Both shook hands with Judson and exchanged business cards.

Judson had one arm around Eula while shaking hands with the men and accepting their cards.

"Sorry to interrupt, but we must be on our way." Judson said.

Judson guided her toward the exit, and the two middle-aged gentlemen escorted them all the way out.

Madam Hopkins remarked, "Did you see that? Eula has ended up with Judson. She is not simple, not as innocent as she appears. She is very scheming."

If it wasn't for her reaching out to Eula several times and offering to give her money, it would have been her son who suffered.

Being stuck with a woman like her, becoming a stepfather, raising someone else's child, that was absolutely unacceptable.

Geoffrey's face darkened little by little, and he coldly glared at his mother.

"Mom, if you want to get married, do it yourself."

After saying that, he shook off her hand and walked away in large strides.

He happened to run into the two middle-aged men re-entering the room, and Cesar asked, "Geoffrey, where are you going?"

He didn't answer, just continued to walk away quickly.

Madam Hopkins shook her head, knowing that he was upset and couldn't let go of that woman.

But he had to face it, he could never marry Eula in this lifetime.

She disagreed with it, and the entire Hopkins family disagreed as well.

Eula was taken back to their small private room by Judson.

She sat quietly, drinking her tea in silence.

Seeing her dejected look, Judson felt displeased.

"What's wrong? Feeling uncomfortable seeing him go on a blind date?"

She had knitted sweaters for that guy, but now they belonged to him. It didn't matter who she had knitted them for, in the end, they became his.

Now he was wearing it, matching his suit with a dress shirt, quite cozy.

Eula raised her head and glanced at him. "No, it's good that Geoffrey can be happy."

She had never thought about being with Geoffrey, let alone marrying him.

He was kind to her and the children, but she wouldn't burden him!

Besides, with his family's attitude towards her, such a marriage would not be a happy one, and she didn't have that intention either.

Judson didn't quite believe it and served her some food.

"Eat, the food is getting cold."

They took over an hour to finish their meal. Eula noticed his good appetite, probably because he was hungry.

It was already ten o'clock when they finished eating dinner, and she was in a hurry to go home, but Judson insisted on stargazing and pulled her towards the car.

Eula had no choice, being a personal secretary was really no different from being a nanny.

Once in the car, his dark eyes glanced over her, making her uncomfortable.

"Judson, I said I will accompany you, so stop looking at me like that."

Judson sneered, "Eula, when you're with me, you're not allowed to think of other men, understand?"

His voice was low and cold, not a negotiation, but a commanding tone.

Eula felt that he was indeed domineering.

But the salary he gave her kept her tightly in his grasp, she didn't dare to resist.

At that moment, her phone rang and Eula took out her phone from her bag and answered.

"Dewitt."

It was a call from Dewitt, this late, he is most likely calling to urge her to come home.

"Mama, Angie has a fever. We're taking her to the hospital, please come quickly."
