Chapter 221 Settling Scores

Judson remained as cold as ever, clearly trying to drive Judson away.

Judson glanced at him, Dewitt's cold demeanor was quite handsome.

Judson squinted slightly, "You're welcome. I like Edith, so I won't leave. I will take care of her affairs to the end."

Judson bluntly stated, then strode towards the bedside.

Dewitt watched the tall figure approach Edith, then wrapped his arms around her shoulders, gently comforting her.

Edith also leaned her head against Judson's side, looking quite like a married couple.

Dewitt pursed his lips. Every day that Edith was not acknowledged, they would watch over her and not let her suffer any grievances.

The next day, the old Nash family mansion.

Jessica sat in the dining room having breakfast, sunlight streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a glow on her.

She elegantly lifted her coffee cup and took a sip, then glanced towards the doorway.

"Is Robert still asleep?"

A servant entered and replied, "Jessica, Robert is still sleeping soundly."

Since waking up, Robert hadn't had such good sleep, often waking up in the middle of the night and then unable to fall back asleep.

Being able to sleep until nine without waking up, it seemed like Robert was improving.

Thinking about last night, many relatives at home were asking what had happened.

She hadn't figured it out either; the engagement banquet was about to start, but Judson said it was canceled. However, she would always support Judson's decision.

At that moment, a servant came in to report, "Jessica, the Lowe family's people have arrived."

Jessica set down her cup, knowing that the Lowe family's people were likely here to cause trouble, so she had to see what they wanted to do.

Although she didn't know why Judson had canceled the engagement, she understood Judson's intentions.

Jessica was wearing a light blue dress today, elegant and classic.

Accompanied by the servant, she walked out of the dining room towards the living room.

In the living room sat a family of three, Kristina and her parents.

Kristina tugged Melissa's hand. "Melissa, let's go back! I'll handle this."

She had been embarrassed last night, and all the relatives at home were asking what had happened, looking at her strangely, thinking she might be abandoned.

But even so, Kristina didn't want her parents to come to the Nash family to cause a scene, after all, the agreement between her and Judson was just that.

Judson didn't want this matter to be exposed, and she didn't want anyone to know either.

Melissa held Kristina's hand. "Darling, don't be afraid. The Nash family was wrong yesterday. How can we swallow this insult? We will definitely help you get justice."

Kristina pursed her lips, glancing at Fernando not far away, his expression turning even uglier.

At the Lowe family, they cared most about Fernando. Since she was young, she knew that as long as she pleased Fernando, she and Melissa could stay in the Lowe family.

She could bully Edith at will, and even if she kicked Edith out, Fernando wouldn't care.

This time, Fernando was quite satisfied with her, at least giving him face, marrying well.

But now, reality had harshly slapped Fernando in the face, leaving him unable to be happy.

Jessica approached, smiling.

"Sorry to keep you waiting."

With that, she sat at the head of the table and said, "Serve our guests some water."

The servants busied themselves, previously thinking they were here to cause trouble and hadn't even offered them water.

Fernando looked at Jessica, his voice cold.

"Jessica, we're here today to talk about yesterday's events. What does Judson mean? He proposed, and now he suddenly cancels the engagement. Does he think our Jessica is easy to bully?"

Fernando's voice was low and cold, filled with strong anger.
