Chapter 83 Grandpa Wakes Up

Kristina stomped her foot angrily and muttered under her breath, “Eula, you little tramp, I won’t allow you to act haughtily for long! You’re just Judson’s secretary. I’ll make sure you stay far away from him.”

...

After entering the house, Eula called out, “Grandma Nash!”

At this time, Grandma Nash and Grandpa Nash, who was sitting in his wheelchair, were in the living room.

Grandma Nash said to Grandpa Nash, “Although you can’t talk now, it’s good that you’re getting better. With the right treatment, you’ll recover nicely.”

At this time, the elderly couple heard Eula’s soft voice, and they turned to look.

Grandma Nash's eyes lit up immediately. She raised her hand and held Eula’s hand, stroking the back of it gently as she said, “Eula, you’re here, and you brought gifts too.”

Grandma Nash was all smiles, clearly delighted. For some reason, she found herself thinking about Eula ever since they met. She felt uneasy whenever Eula was away and was overjoyed at the sight of her.

Eula smiled in return. “This is Judson’s favorite dessert. He asked me to buy them.”

Grandma Nash accepted the desserts and handed them to a servant before she pulled Eula to sit on the couch across from Grandpa Nash. Then, she said to Grandpa Nash, “This girl here is Eula. She’s my friend, and she’s also Judson’s friend.”

Inwardly, Grandma thought to herself that Eula was the woman Judson liked. However, she did not say it out loud, fearing that such news might stimulate Grandpa Nash, who had just regained consciousness.

Eula smiled and greeted Grandpa Nash. “Grandpa.”

Grandpa patted his thing and struggled to speak, seemingly excited.

Grandma Nash frowned in confusion.

Grandpa Nash patted his thigh again. He tried to speak, but no words came out.

Eula leaned toward Grandma Nash and whispered, “Did Grandpa Nash... wet his pants?”

After saying those words, Eula’s cheeks flushed red in embarrassment. After all, she had touched on such a sensitive subject as soon as she arrived.

Grandma Nash chuckled and said, “Perhaps he’s still a little unwell because he had just regained consciousness.”

After saying that, Grandma Nash asked a servant to check on Grandpa Nash.

At this time, Judson walked in, arm-in-arm with Kristina. He called out, “Grandpa, I’m back. I brought Kristina back to see you as well.”

Judson believed that his grandfather would be happy seeing him with Kristina. He even thought that it might hasten his grandfather’s recovery.

However, upon seeing the two of them, Grandpa Nash shook his head, and his eyes darted around. He seemed frustrated.

Grandma Nash laughed and said, “He just soiled his pants. Excuse me for a moment. Please have a seat while I bring him to change his diaper.”

After saying that, Grandma Nash brought Grandpa Nash away. A servant helped her wheel Grandpa Nash to the bedroom on the first floor.

At this time, Kristina sat next to Judson in the living room while he handed a cup of coffee to Eula.

Eula was rather thirsty so she quickly accepted the coffe and took a sip. She did not think there was anything wrong with this treatment since she was a guest in his house after all.

However, Kristina, who did not receive the same treatment, glared at Eula with a dissatisfied expression. Alas, Judson had just warned her to mind her own business so she did not say anything. Nonetheless, she vowed to secure her position as Mrs. Nash. When the time came, she would be able to deal with Eula as she pleased.

At this moment, Judson suddenly rose to his feet and buttoned up his suit jacket. Then, his eyes flashed as he said, “Have a seat first. I’ll go and check on Grandpa.”
