Chapter 11 He Must Be the Father

The Lowe family.
Kristina Lowe and Melissa Brewer walked hand in hand towards the main building.
Kristina Lowe was a bit worried, "Mom, do we really have to tell Grandpa about Eula Lowe coming back to A City?"
Just thinking about how Grandpa had sent her to study in Country T, but she not only didn't go, but was also sold by those people and reported dead after a supposed car accident.
Then they spread the rumor that Eula Lowe had left with an unknown man, fooling everyone in The Lowe family.
Only the two of them knew that she was dead.
Melissa Brewer nodded slightly, "Yes, Grandpa has always been worried about her, right?"
"Then let him know that she's back, and that she has three illegitimate children. You have to know, as long as Eula Lowe has these three illegitimate children with her, she will be a laughingstock in A City. Grandpa values family reputation, how could he let her come back?"
"As long as Grandpa and Lula were divided by mutual suspicion, no one would focu on what we did."
"That makes sense!" Kristina Lowe nodded.
...
Afternoon.
Aunt Mary went to pick up the three children from school. Angie approached Aunt Mary.
"Aunt Mary, did handsome Uncle come to take care of Eula at home today?"
Aunt Mary smiled, "There was indeed a luxury car parked at the door, but I didn't go in to check. He should have come."
Rodolfo heard this and chuckled.
"If there's a car, it means he's there."
He reached out and touched Angie's head, a smile appearing on his lips. Judson Nash had passed his first test here, at least proving that he was a kind person.
Hearing the conversation, Dewitt asked a question.
"What have you two been up to behind my back?"
There was a hint of darkness on his little face. These two little troublemakers had done something behind him.
Seeing their older brother's angry look, the two siblings held his hands from either side.
"Rodolfo, listen to me."
Angie blinked her pair of grape-like purple eyes, looking very serious.
"Mommy and I met a handsome uncle who looks very much like you guys. I think he might be our daddy!"
"Today Mommy got sick, so I let him take care of her. Big brother, it seems like I've found our daddy, I'm so happy!"
After hearing this, Dewitt remained silent for a moment, furrowing his brows slightly.
"Even though we're looking for our daddy, we can't just pull anyone and call them our daddy, do you understand?"
He had the steadiness of an older brother and considered things more than they did.
Angie pouted, "Big brother, I don't care! I just like him and want Eula to marry him!"
Rodolfo looked at his sister about to cry and felt extremely distressed.
"Brother, I believe in Angie's judgment, and I also tested him today. He has a pretty good character. Next time, you test him, and then we'll decide whether Mommy should be with him."
In fact, since they were very young, they understood that Mommy needed to remarry. Although she never mentioned their own father to them, they were sensible enough not to ask. But Aunt Mary and Estelle's mom said that Eula would only be happy if she remarried!
They didn't understand the emotions between adults, let alone what marriage was. But they wanted their Mommy to be happy!
Dewitt nodded slightly, accepting his younger siblings' opinions. He would see that man himself, and whether he was suitable or not would depend on his abilities.
...
Back at home, the three of them went to Eula Lowe's room and saw her sleeping.
They made gestures to each other, shushing, and then tried to turn around quietly to leave.
Eula Lowe saw the three little ones coming back and smiled as she sat up. "You're back."
Hearing her voice, although it was a bit hoarse, it seemed like she wasn't coughing anymore.
Angie turned around abruptly and rushed to her side, throwing herself into her embrace. "Eula, Angie missed you so much."
Rodolfo poured her a glass of water. "Mommy, drink some water. Did someone take care of you today? Aunt Mary said a uncle came, is he your boyfriend?"
A certain little one was testing her, wanting to see Mommy's feelings.
At the mention of the person from earlier, Eula Lowe became angry. Hiring a nanny for a hundred thousand dollars in just one morning was simply outrageous, and on top of that, the nanny was insufferable.
She frowned, thinking that if her sons found out she had also signed an IOU, they would definitely go to confront Judson Nash.
Suddenly, Angie pointed at her lips and asked a question.
"Mommy, why are your lips swollen? They look like mini sausages."
Eula Lowe touched her lips. They were a bit uncomfortable today, slightly numb, and it seemed like she had some broken skin on them, as if someone had bitten her?
She lost herself in thoughts, recalling that she hadn't bitten her own lips! How could this be?
Both of her sons stared at her lips, furrowing their brows in concern. Eula Lowe touched her lips and realized they were slightly swollen, with a small cut as if someone had bitten them. She was lost in thought, trying to recall if she had accidentally bitten her lip, but couldn't understand how it happened. Her two sons stared at her lips, their brows furrowed in worry.
"Coming in, Mary. I think it might be because of a fever. My lips are even cracked."
"Mummy, why don't we go see a doctor?"
Aunt Mary entered the bedroom with medicine and overheard them talking about Eula Lowe's swollen lips, and she couldn't help but laugh.
She had been through it all before and knew what was going on.
"No need to go to the hospital. It'll get better in a day or two."
Eula Lowe still looked confused, feeling the tingling pain in her lips. In her mind, she recalled a dream where she was kissing a man, a man whose face resembled Judson Nash. She had thought it was just a dream, but could it be real?
The thought of him taking care of her when she was sick made her curse inwardly.
"Judson Nash, you scoundrel!"
Eula Lowe didn't tell them about today's incident, especially her two sons.
After all, these boys were fearless and would surely go confront Judson Nash if they found out. He was a powerful man, and they would not stand a chance against him.
Besides, she had already asked Geoffrey Hopkins this morning and potentially delayed millions.
She might as well consider it as if she had hired a Buddha and repaid her debt, so they were even now.
Angie shook her body anxiously.
"Eula, did a handsome man come to our house today?"
The handsome uncle was so good-looking, the most handsome man she had ever seen. Of course, her two brothers were handsome, too. They looked so alike that complimenting one was like complimenting her own brother!
Eula Lowe thought it was probably Aunt Mary who saw and then told the three children. They were so close. Aunt Mary told them everything.
"Yes, yes, a handsome man came to take care of me. Is that okay?"
Angie jumped up happily, "That's great! We'll have a dad now!"
After saying it, she realized and quickly covered her mouth, her big eyes shifting around.
Her brothers had told her not to mention their father in front of their mother, but she had forgotten in such an excitement. Would Eula be sad now?
Dewitt and Rodolfo furrowed their brows, afraid that their mother would be hurt. Eula Lowe saw their reactions and understood their thoughtfulness. So she ran her hand through her hair and said, "Alright, it's okay for you to say 'dad.' Everyone has a dad and a mom, even though mommy can't tell you who he is right now. But he definitely loves you all."
The three little ones nodded in agreement. They also believed that their dad loved them and hoped to meet him one day.
Three days later, Eula Lowe was completely revocered.
In the morning, she sent the three children to school and then returned home to check her emails, hoping to see if there were any responses to the resumes she had sent out.
With only a high school education, most of the jobs available to her were in the service industry, earning very little money.
Aunt Mary came back from buying groceries and as she entered the door, she paused.
she heard these words, Eula Lowe stood up and walked out of the house to the front door.
"Miss Lowe, is it really you?"
Uncle Henry stood at the door, his face full of excitement.
Eula Lowe was also surprised. She had been living alone in City A for six years, and during these six years, she had never encountered anyone from the Lowe family. After all, she was living a normal life now, while the Lowe family was considered an influential family in City A, so naturally they wouldn't have any contact with her.
"Uncle Henry, what brings you here?"
She stood at the door, showing no intention of inviting him inside.
After calming down from his excitement, Uncle Henry spoke more calmly.
"Miss Eula, Grandpa wanted me to come and take you home. It is Miss Kristina's marriage proposal day, and Grandpa hopes you can be there too, to have all the family together."
Hearing the mention of Grandpa Lowe, a tear appeared in Eula Lowe's eyes. She missed him dearly. Grandpa Lowe was the kindest to her in the Lowe family. However, when she lost her virginity that year and was taken to the police station, even charged with prostitution, she had let him down.
Uncle Henry added, "Miss, Grandpa just wants to see you. There is nothing else. Just come with me and see him."
