Chapter 378 Why Are We Always in the Hospital?
Eula read his message, a small smile creeping onto her face, instantly brightening her mood after a rough day.
Just as she was about to reply, Geoffrey's voice broke the silence. "Eula, I'm done."
Eula sighed, tossed her phone onto the table, and pushed open the restroom door. Geoffrey was already dressed, standing there with a gentle smile.
"Did I scare you earlier?" Geoffrey asked, a bit unsure. He was usually so decisive and straightforward, always getting what he wanted. But around Eula, he felt different, less confident.
Eula took his hand. "Don't scare me like that again."
She smiled softly, thinking Geoffrey wouldn't notice. But he did, and seeing her smile made him smile too. She seemed to be in a good mood.
Eula helped Geoffrey to the bed and let him sit down. While she was hanging the IV bottle, he reached out and held her other hand. "Eula, I'm so glad you're here with me."
He had wanted to say that for a long time. Meeting her was the best thing that ever happened to him.
After hanging the bottle, Eula smiled slightly. "Geoffrey, it's the least I can do. When you saved us back then, I promised I'd never forget your kindness."
She pulled her hand away, keeping her distance from Geoffrey. She had been keeping her distance from Geoffrey for years, and now she was even more determined to do so because she was in love with Judson.
Besides, Judson was very possessive. If he saw her getting close to someone else, he would definitely get angry.
Eula shook her head slightly. 'Why do I keep thinking about him?'
It had only been a day without him, and she already felt this way. She couldn't imagine how hard it would be if they were apart for a long time.
"Drink some water." She brought the cup to his lips.
Geoffrey opened his mouth to drink, his eyes never leaving her. Seeing her smile lifted his spirits too.
After his IV was finished, the nurse asked her to get a report for Geoffrey.
She left the ward. There were plenty of people taking care of Geoffrey. As soon as she left, the servants would come in and take good care of him.
As she walked out of the hospital building, her phone rang.
Eula saw it was a call from Darcy and answered. "Darcy."
"Eula, how's Mr. Nash doing? Do you understand his feelings now? He almost lost his life for you." Darcy's voice had a hint of laughter. Eula looked up at the sky.
After being in the ward for so long, she realized how fresh and nice the outside air was. Even the clouds seemed different, softer, lighter, and more beautiful.
"Yeah, I know. How's Estelle? When is her surgery?" Hearing Darcy's voice always made her think of Estelle, the little girl who tugged at her heartstrings.
"She's doing well. We moved to a VIP ward, much more comfortable, and the surgery is being scheduled."
Talking about this, Darcy's face blushed slightly.
Ever since she got close to Elbert, Estelle had hope, and there was someone to help take care of her. She didn't have to work anymore, and overall, things had improved.
However, Elbert always wanted her to accompany him at night, making her endure his torment every night.
Eula laughed. "That's good. Hey, Darcy, why are we always in the hospital?"
