Chapter 114 Drunk
Eula kept calling his name until Elbert Hicks finally understood. Tonight, this girl was so eager to sing with him, to drink with him, and it was all for that kid.
Sure, the kid looked cute, but what did that have to do with him?
He couldn't ruin his future for a stranger.
Elbert Hicks glanced at Judson sitting not too far away, thinking about how that guy was hoping Eula would get drunk tonight so he could take advantage of her.
So he raised an eyebrow, "Finish this bottle, then we'll talk."
He placed a bottle of whisky in front of Eula and watched to see if she had the courage.
Eula looked at the bottle. Though she had practiced her drinking, she could only handle three shots of vodka or a case of beer. She'd never tried this kind of liquor before. Could she handle it?
As she thought, she suddenly slapped the table.
"Alright, I'll drink. Don't forget what you said, Elbert Hicks."
Thinking of Estelle, she figured, what's the worst that could happen? She knew everyone here, and Judson was around.
Not caring anymore, Eula grabbed the bottle and tilted her head back to drink.
Judson's crossed legs unfolded, and Hugo gasped in shock.
"Damn, Eula's insane, chugging straight from the bottle."
Judson hurried over and took the bottle from her hand.
"Eula, you didn't have to drink."
Eula looked at the bottle, still more than half full, and thought of Estelle waiting for Elbert Hicks's marrow to save her life! So she stood up, lunged forward, and snatched it back.
"Judson, leave me alone."
Then she turned to Elbert Hicks, "I'll finish it, Elbert Hicks."
She deliberately stepped back from Judson and continued drinking.
Judson frowned slightly, casting a casual glance at Elbert Hicks. He raised his hands and mouthed a sentence to Elbert Hicks without a sound: "Isn't this what you wanted?"
Judson intended to get her drunk but not this drunk. She would have a tough time tomorrow for sure.
Hugo approached Eula, looking at the empty bottle.
"Eula, you're pretty badass!"
After Eula finished her drink, the room started spinning, and she stumbled into conversation, turning around only to smack Hugo right in the face with her bottle.
"Ouch..." Hugo groaned in pain.
Eula, her eyes squinting, could barely control herself as she swung the bottle around asking, "Who's there? Who?"
So Hugo, in his unfortunate luck, got a taste of the bottle, first on the left and then on the right side of his face, backing away with cries of pain.
"Eula, I knew I shouldn't have met up with you. I always end up getting hurt," he lamented.
Judson and Elbert Hicks couldn't contain their laughter from a distance, finding the scene hilariously ridiculous.
With Hugo getting slapped from side to side, it was clear they were a disastrous pair.
Judson strode over, snatched the bottle from her hand, and pulled her into his arms. "Eula, do you know who I am?"
Without the bottle in her hand, Eula swayed, feeling unwell. Straining to see through the fuzzy haze, she heard his chilly voice.
"Are you my fairy? Your voice sounds so nice!"
Judson, Hugo, and Elbert Hicks burst into laughter at her comment. "Judson, did you just turn into a fairy?"
Judson frowned, not expecting her drunken state to be this comical and endearing, and lifted her into his arms. "Shut up, we're going home!" he commanded coldly as Eula pouted.
"Oh, my little fairy, I adore fairies. Be my girlfriend?" she pleads charmingly.
