Chapter 379 Darcy's Idea

"You've been stuck in the hospital with Estelle for years. I took care of Judson for a bit, and now I'm looking after Geoffrey every day. Hospitals are just the worst."

Even though Geoffrey and Judson were in VIP rooms with no other patients around, the hospital vibe was still heavy. Walking through the halls, she saw so many goodbyes and so much despair.

After a while, the hospital atmosphere started to get to her. Maybe that was why she could never be a doctor. Seeing people die or dealing with terminal illnesses every day was just too much.

"What's up with Geoffrey?" Darcy wasn't super close to Geoffrey, but she knew him. He'd helped her out before, connecting her with doctors, all because of Eula. Now that he was sick, she felt she should visit.

"He had a car accident over Christmas, and now he can't see."

"What?" Darcy's jaw dropped. "Oh no, how did that happen? He's such a good guy. Eula, I'll come see him tomorrow. Which hospital is he in?"

Eula sent her the hospital address. "Here it is."

"Eula, doesn't Judson mind you taking care of Geoffrey like this?" Darcy figured he must.

She'd seen how possessive Elbert could be. When she first signed the agreement with him, she was still working at a bar.

She was selling drinks, so she had to drink, and guys were always trying to hit on her. One time, a guy just touched her shoulder, and Elbert dragged him out. By the time she caught up, the guy was beaten up pretty bad.

That was the first time she realized how possessive a guy could be. For a while after that, Elbert stayed at the bar, watching her. Anyone who got too close would get a beating. Eventually, he made her quit and banned her from talking to any guys.

Judson and Elbert were good friends, both from fancy backgrounds, probably with similar attitudes.

Eula took a moment before she spoke, "Yeah, he's really upset."

Judson fired her because of it, and she was really mad at the time.

"Eula, this kind of thing really bothers guys, and you know how Geoffrey feels about you. You need to handle it carefully."

Eula felt a headache coming on. "I know."

Before hanging up, Darcy couldn't help but add, "There's nothing a good round of sex can't solve."

After that, she hung up, leaving Eula stunned. If it were before, Eula wouldn't have understood, but now she got it instantly, her face turning a bit red.

She grabbed her phone and sent a message to Darcy: [Darcy, be honest, how do you know so much? Have you slept with Mr. Hicks?]

Darcy: [Eula, I'm serious. If you don't believe me, try it. As long as you take the initiative, Mr. Nash will definitely give in.]

Eula looked at the two mischievous smiley emojis in the text message and took a deep breath.

Even though Hugo said he couldn't do strenuous exercise, she could. Tonight, she would go and coax him.

After all, as long as Geoffrey's eyes weren't better, she had to stay by his side.

First, she needed to smooth things over with Judson, so her days could be peaceful afterward.

Eula got the report, looked at it for a while, and didn't understand it, so she gave up.

She took the report back to the inpatient building, handed it to the nurse at the nurse's station, and returned to the ward.

Geoffrey was leaning against the headboard, listening to music, an opera. Eula used to love listening to it too. But later, because of life, being too busy, and having to take care of the kids, she hadn't listened to it for many years.

"Geoffrey, let Alexander stay with you tonight. I'm going home to check on the kids."
