Chapter 376 Accepting Fate

Eula sneezed a bunch and rubbed her nose. Maybe she was allergic to the pollen downstairs.

Geoffrey started his IV drip again. Ever since he got hospitalized, it was a daily thing, but it didn't seem to be doing much.

Shirley eyed the mountain of meds, shot a look at the nurse, and said coldly, "All these injections and you still don't know what's wrong? Is this hospital even competent?"

The Pitts family hospital was a big deal in City A. Only the upper crust came here, enjoying the top-notch environment and services.

The nurse had already given the injection and calmly replied, "Mrs. Hopkins, you know our hospital's reputation. Mr. Hopkins had a head injury, so it's possible his nerves are compressed. These meds are to help with blood circulation and reduce stasis."

Geoffrey knew that the meds were slowly helping his vision come back.

He had to admit, Hugo Hospital was pretty good, but since he had to fake being blind, he couldn't say anything.

Shirley sighed, "I'm not interested in your excuses. Fix his eyesight before anything else."

The nurse pushed the IV cart out, and Shirley gently stroked Geoffrey's hand with concern. "Geoffrey, if this doesn't work, we'll go abroad. I've contacted the best eye doctor."

Geoffrey stayed calm and said softly, "Mom, I might be like this forever. I trust Hugo Hospital. If they can't fix me, it'll be the same abroad."

Hearing this, Shirley couldn't hold back her tears. "No, Geoffrey, you won't be blind. I'd give you my own eyes. I won't let you go blind."

Anyone would be moved by that.

Eula's eyes welled up too. That was just how moms were, willing to do anything for their kids.

Geoffrey closed his eyes and sighed, "Mom, I won't cause any more trouble. I'm fine like this. As long as Eula is with me, even if I live in darkness forever, I'm okay with it."

These words were meant for Eula, and after hearing them, she was stunned. She had been feeling sorry for Geoffrey and Shirley.

She bit her lip and could only say, "Geoffrey, I'll always take care of you, and your eyes will get better."

Hearing this, Shirley looked at Eula. She didn't expect Eula to have some conscience.

Eula grabbed the meds and brought water to his bedside. "Geoffrey, time to take your medicine."

She brought the meds to his mouth, and when Geoffrey's lips touched her palm, his heart skipped a beat, and he had the urge to kiss her.

"Take a sip of water." She had already brought the water to his lips, but he just sat there, lost in thought.

Geoffrey finally spoke, took a sip of water, and swallowed the meds.

He stared blankly ahead as if into the darkness, but he could actually see.

When he said those words earlier, he clearly saw the disappointment on Eula's face, like she was really sad.

She still couldn't let go of Judson, but he didn't care. This time, he wouldn't let her go again. He had to make the most of this chance.

Eula was his. Whether it was six years ago or now, it was Geoffrey who met Eula first.

He would never let anyone else have her.

After feeding him the meds, Eula asked, "If you need to use the restroom, just call me."

Then she sat on the couch, took out her phone, and wanted to cheer up Judson.

Shirley looked at her and had to admit she was taking good care of Geoffrey. "Eula, go buy some milk. We're out."

Eula stood up and said, "Okay!"

Then she walked out of the ward.

Shirley gently stroked Geoffrey's hand. "Geoffrey, I won't pressure you anymore. For Eula's sake, you need to get better soon."
