Chapter 409 Eula's Background
After Shirley hung up, she was furious. She took a sip of coffee, trying to calm herself down.
Then she let out a scream.
The servants rushed over, "Mrs. Hopkins, are you alright?"
Shirley's mouth had been burned by the hot coffee. She frowned, getting angrier the more she thought about it.
Saying that Eula didn't fancy Geoffrey was infuriating. It was they who didn't fancy Eula, alright?
'Judson, you're blind. Don't think everyone else is blind, too.' Shirley cursed in her head.
Just then, a few people walked into the room. Leading them was David, who was leaning on a cane, exuding an extraordinary presence. Several servants followed behind him.
Shirley stood up gracefully. The Lowe family was considered an old, prestigious family in City A, although they had declined in recent years and were not as prosperous as before.
But everyone in high society knew David; he was quite a figure in his generation.
"Mr. Lowe, what brings you here?" Shirley greeted.
To be honest, the Hopkins family used to be no match for the Lowe family. The Lowe family had been a prominent family for a long time.
So Shirley was very respectful to David, not daring to offend him.
David nodded slightly, "I heard Geoffrey was injured, so I came to see him."
Actually, Geoffrey had seen David as soon as he entered the room, and it was Geoffrey who had arranged for David to come today.
He slowly sat up, holding onto the edge of the bed, "Mr. Lowe, what brings you here? I'm not in a position to receive you right now."
David walked over to his bedside, seeing Geoffrey's handsome face, and sighed.
Such a fine young man, but his eyes were blind. What a pity.
However, he was the father of Eula's three children. Even if he was blind, Eula and the three children would not leave him.
He sat down in a chair and said calmly. "Given the situation, why didn't you tell me? I should have come to see you earlier."
Geoffrey stared straight ahead, his gaze dark. He had gotten very good at pretending to be blind.
"Mr. Lowe, this was an accident. It's just temporary blindness; I'll recover. You don't need to worry. I'm sincere about Eula. Even if I'm blind, I can still take good care of her and the three children."
Hearing such responsible words, David breathed a sigh of relief.
He had originally intended to make things difficult for Geoffrey, considering how he had wronged Eula and made her suffer for six years.
But now, he didn't have the heart for it. As long as Geoffrey was responsible, gave Eula a proper status, and legitimized the three children, he could let it go.
David still cared deeply for Eula. She had grown up without a mother, and her father was easily swayed by others, so he had protected and pampered her.
In the end, the incident six years ago had happened. He was truly angry and hurt, which was why he had ignored her.
But after all these years, hearing about the hardships Eula had endured, he had a change of heart.
Besides him, who else could protect Eula like he did? So before he died, he had to make sure she was well taken care of, so he could rest in peace.
"Alright, since you say so, our Eula is not a heartless person. Even if you're blind, she will take care of you for the rest of your life. If your health permits, pick a day to come to our house and propose. Let's get the engagement settled first."
Hearing this, Geoffrey smiled. "Alright, Mr. Lowe, I'll discuss it with my family and pick a day to come over and discuss the marriage."
Finally, the matter was settled. Geoffrey narrowed his eyes slightly.
'Eula, you are mine. I will never let you go to Judson. This time, I will take control.' Geoffrey thought.
Shirley, who was standing by, was stunned. After a while, she finally asked. "Geoffrey, is Eula from the Lowe family?"
