Chapter 12 Returning to the Lowe Family

Eula Lowe nodded slightly, "Okay, let me go change my clothes. Uncle Henry, wait for me for a moment."
She didn't mean to invite Uncle Henry inside because Aunt Mary was there. She didn't want the three children to know her relationship with the Lowe family. Grandpa was such a prideful person, and she was his carefully raised granddaughter who ended up damaging the family’s reputation. If he saw the three children, he would probably be even angrier. So, it was better to keep them from having contact.
Eula Lowe went back into the house and picked out an outfit, a blue, floral dress paired with a pale pink coat. These were one of her few good clothes.
She took out a jewelry box from the deepest drawer, containing two items inside: a jade pendant and a ring.
The ring was left on her hand after that night six years ago, most likely left behind by the man. For all these years, even though she sold off all her other jewelry, she never rhought of selling this one. She still held onto a glimmer of hope that one day she would find the biological father of her children and uncover the truth about that year.
Eula Lowe placed the jade pendant into a blue brocade box.
This pendant was an antique with significant value. It was given to her by an elderly woman she had once helped. Grandpa's birthday was coming up in a few days, and she couldn't afford a decent gift, so she decided to give it to him as a birthday present.
Eula Lowe said goodbye to Mary and went out with her bag, getting into the Lowe family's car.
Throughout the ride, she just looked out the window, not paying much attention to the surroundings. She was very familiar with that road. Over the years, she often dreamed about it, but in reality, she never dared to set foot there.
Until the car stopped at The Lowe family's parking lot, Uncle Henry called her.
"Miss Eula, we've back home."
Only then did she come back to her senses, looked at the main building, and got off the car.
Entering the main building, the old master sat in the living room, seemingly waiting for her on purpose. Today, he was dressed in a dark blue suit, looking very spirited.
Kristina Lowe and Melissa Brewer were also present, including her father, Fernando Lowe.
When they saw her coming in, Melissa Brewer stood up.
"Eula is back."
She was wearing a green embroidered cheongsam and walked over, twisting her waist.
Eula Lowe didn't say anything. She walked to the side of the old man.
"Grandfather!"
When the old man saw Eula Lowe, his eyes lit up slightly and he nodded.
"Eula, sit down. Relax. This is your home."
Eula Lowe sat down beside the old man and showed no interest in the family of three.
Fernando Lowe was surprised. "Eula, where have you been all these years? Why didn't you come back home?"
Eula Lowe replied to her father, "Didn't you all not want me in this family?"
"Who didn't want you at home? If it weren't for the scandal you caused back then and ran away, would the family not care about you?" Fernando Lowe said in anger.
Kristina Lowe and her daughter listened to these words, looking away with guilt, not daring to meet Eula Lowe's gaze.
Eula Lowe coldly glanced at the stepmother and her daughter, her eyes filled with deep hatred. She would never forget what happened back then.
Not only did this stepmother and herdaughter ruin her reputation, they also sold her to human traffickers, wanting her to live a life worse than death. They were truly ruthless.
"Did I run away myself?"
She sneered, "Aunt Melissa, Kristina, is it like this?"
Kristina Lowe heard her words and looked at her and her mother. She panicked, fearing that Eula would reveal what happened back then.
So she quickly changed the topic, "Eula, didn't you give birth to triplets? Why didn't you bring them back? I am their aunt!"
After she finished speaking, she coldly curled her lip. The two men in the family were very conservative, especially concerned about their reputation. Let's see if she dared to bring up the past.
"What! You really gave birth to that illegitimate child?"
Fernando Lowe became even more astonished, his eyes wide open, and he questioned.
When she heard the words "illegitimate child," Eula Lowe's face darkened.
Indeed, this family was not suitable for her children. Her precious children were nothing more than illegitimate children in their eyes.
Her heart ached for a moment. Even if she had to give her all in this lifetime, she didn't want her children to be looked down upon by others.
"Mr. Lowe, please watch your words. They are my children, my treasures, not bastards. If we go by your logic, then the child you had with Melissa Brewer was also bastard, right?"
Back then, Melissa Brewer seduced her father and got pregnant, forcing her mother to leave and ruined her life.
Shouldn't children like that be called bastards?
"Eula Lowe, what did you say?" Kristina Lowe angrily shouted.
Fernando Lowe's chest heaved in anger. If the old man wasn't present, he might have gone over to slap Eula a few times.
Although he already knew that Eula Lowe had given birth to three children, his expression slightly changed at the mention of it.
"Enough, Eula has come back after so long. What are you doing? The three of you, leave and let me have some time alone with Eula."
The three individuals warned Eula Lowe with their eyes before angrily leaving.
Once they were gone, Fernando Lowe's expression grew dark. "Kristina, when the Nash family arrives later, make sure they don't find out that Eula Lowe is my daughter."
He couldn't regard her as his daughter.
Kristina Lowe looked satisfied. "Alright, dad."
In the living room, Eula Lowe had a private conversation with her grandfather. Between the two of them, it felt as if nothing had changed, just like before, full of warmth and love. But Eula Lowe knew that what had happened back then couldn't be erased as if it never occurred.
She gave the gifts to her grandfather and accompanied him for lunch, making the old man very happy.
The old man had a habit of taking an afternoon nap. After sitting in the living room for a while, he felt tired.
"Eula, your room is still there for you. If you're tired, go rest for a while. We have guests coming to the house today. Wait until after dinner and they've left before you go back. Grandpa still has a lot to talk to you."
Eula Lowe had initially planned to go back early to submit job applications, but she didn't want to let grandpa down, so she agreed. "Okay, Grandpa."
It's just one day, no big deal...
...
Eula Lowe originally just wanted to lie down on the bed for a moment, but she unexpectedly fell asleep and slept until three in the afternoon.
She suddenly sat up and saw the familiar room, giving her a sense of illusion.
It was like she was still living in the years before she turned 18, when she was still the young miss of the Lowe family. Everyone loved her.
She reached up and touched her own face. Everything in the room hadn't changed, just like the way she used to live in it. So she overslept.
Although everything seemed unchanged, everything had been different.
She sat there, lost in thought, telling herself not to think about these anymore. She is doing well now, and she is thankful to God for giving her three beautiful children.
Three little treasures brought her a lot of joy! She loves them very much too. So she has nothing to feel down about. Eula Lowe got up and washed up in the bathroom before pushing open the bedroom door. The door to the opposite guest room was also pulled open, revealing a tall and upright figure. The two locked eyes.
