Chapter 453 Wanting to Go Back and See Her Life
The waiter heard Susan's words and quickly changed her attitude. "Miss, please!"
Eula walked towards Susan's table and sat across from her, smiling as she spoke. "Ms. Carnegie, did you book the whole place? I thought I was treating you."
Actually, she could afford to book the whole place, but she had never done such a thing.
Susan smiled faintly and handed her the menu. "How could I let you treat me in Fashion City? I heard from Tiffany that you're leaving tonight, so consider this my farewell dinner for you. Next time I visit City A, you can treat me to the local specialties."
Eula couldn't refuse, as it was a kind gesture. "Alright, when you come to City A, be sure to call me. I have three kids, and they are quite hospitable. They can get to know you then."
The two chatted and then ordered their food.
Susan made a note of what Eula liked to eat.
After all, this was her daughter. They had been apart for over twenty years, and she hadn't forgotten her for a single day.
She had grown up to be a beautiful young woman. No matter what she had gone through, she had grown up healthy, kind, and beautiful. For a mother, that was enough.
After ordering, Eula looked at her. "Ms. Carnegie, you should order what you like, too. I ordered some spicy dishes, and I'm afraid you might not be used to them."
Actually, Susan was just like her, having grown up in City A and liking spicy food, but Eula didn't know that.
Susan smiled, "I like everything you just ordered. It seems we have the same taste."
Eula smiled, feeling a special, close connection with her.
When the dishes were served, Susan picked food for Eula, and Eula did the same for her. "Ms. Carnegie, you should eat too, don't just watch me eat."
Watching Eula eat for the first time, Susan thought she looked more appetizing than the food itself. She was truly beautiful!
Eula was indeed beautiful, with big eyes, a high nose, and a sweet smile.
"Alright, I'll eat too." Susan's eyes welled up with tears, wondering when they would meet again.
"Eula, I heard you went out with your boyfriend last night. What does he do? Is he good to you?"
Eula had a child out of wedlock and had lived an ordinary life.
If she could meet a good man and get married, Susan hoped Eula would be happy.
Thinking of Judson, Eula's lips curved into a smile. "He's the CEO of a company and treats me very well."
It seemed he was financially stable, which was an important consideration when choosing a partner.
Susan deboned a piece of fish and placed the meat on Eula's plate.
"Well, as long as he treats you well. He doesn't mind your kids, does he?"
This was what Susan cared about the most. Eula was so beautiful and deserved a good marriage.
Because Susan wasn't around, no one had guided her, and she had taken the wrong path.
But she still deserved to be cherished.
No one knew that Eula's child wasn't her fault; she had been a victim.
Eula looked up, her eyes clear and bright. "He doesn't mind; he likes them a lot. Ms. Carnegie, next time you come to City A, I'll bring him to meet you."
Thinking of Judson, Eula's face visibly warmed, showing the look of a girl deeply in love.
Seeing her like this, Susan thought the man must be good and hoped he would cherish Eula forever.
Thinking of this, she decided she must visit City A sometime.
That place, though not very pleasant for her!
She had spent the first half of her life there, with people who had hurt her deeply. But wanting to see Eula's life, she planned to visit when she had the chance.
