Chapter 343 Ungrateful Piece of Work

Eula bit her lip, her face going all red again, thinking about what just went down. Her head was buzzing with the sound of his breathing and all those crazy feelings.

Gosh, it was the first time she truly felt the overwhelming joy of intimacy with the man she loved, and it was freakin' awesome!

Judson made her feel like a million bucks! She couldn't even look at him.

"Still, it's my fault," she echoed, and Judson squeezed her hand tighter.

He added, "I'm good. Doc's on the way. You wait outside, or if I start talking about what just happened, can you handle it?"

Truth was, Judson was scared the doc might spill the beans. That bullet in his head was like a ticking time bomb, and all the docs were freaked out.

The pain he was feeling now might be 'cause the bullet shifted, so he couldn't let her hear about it.

Eula nodded. "Oh!"

Yeah, what just happened probably triggered his headache, and he definitely needed to explain it to the doc.

After a bit, a bunch of doctors showed up, with Hugo leading the pack. "Why the headache?"

Eula heard that and her face went beet red. She quickly made her way to the door.

Hugo saw Eula's shy look and kinda got the gist. He walked over to the bed. "Just got cozy with Eula?"

Judson was half-leaning on the bed, looking pale as a ghost, sweat all over his forehead. His usually handsome face was twisted in pain. His eyebrows were all scrunched up, looking super uncomfortable.

Hugo had never seen him like this before. Even when he was hurt bad with bones sticking out, he didn't flinch.

Seeing him like this now, Hugo knew he was at his breaking point.

Judson said, "Cut the crap and make me feel better."

The pain was off the charts, and he couldn't take it anymore.

Hugo told a nearby nurse, "Get a painkiller shot."

They had to ease his pain first. The nurse rolled in some equipment, and a few docs started checking him out.

Hugo stood aside, watching his painful expression, clicking his tongue a few times. "Judson, I gotta tell you, you can't get this worked up anymore."

Judson shot him a cold glare, clearly pissed. "Get me the best doc. I need this damn bullet out ASAP."

Hugo couldn't help but chuckle. Judson's life was on the line, and he didn't seem to care.

But now, not being able to get it on with Eula, he was losing it.

Looked like Eula had really gotten under his skin.

Eula stood outside the door, with two bodyguards standing like statues at the entrance. They only moved when the nurse rolled in the equipment.

Usually, they were like stone, not budging an inch.

Eula watched as the equipment was pushed in and out, one after another.

She was super anxious, wanting to go in and see, but thinking about the docs inside and Hugo, she felt too embarrassed and decided to stay put.

Just then, her phone rang. She pulled it out of her pocket and answered, "Shirley."

"Eula, Geoffrey's refusing to eat dinner. Get over here and feed him." Her voice was cold and harsh, like Eula was Geoffrey's servant, making it really hard to hear.

Eula was used to it. For Geoffrey's sake, she never minded or cared. "Shirley, I'm kinda busy right now. I'll go see him when I can."

At lunch, she noticed he didn't eat much, and he was eating alone, not touching the dishes. He used to be so gentle, but now he was a whole different person.

Shirley's breathing got heavier, clearly pissed, and she started ranting, "Eula, is it 'cause he's blind now that you don't care about him anymore? Don't forget who saved you and your kids! Don't forget who helped you through the tough times! You ungrateful piece of work."
