Chapter 203 Formal Attire
Judson met her gaze with a steely glare. "No need," he retorted curtly. With that, he collected the clothes and retreated to the sanctuary of his bedroom. Myles lingered in the doorway, his gaze trailing Judson as he disappeared into the guest room before he too returned to his own quarters.Emerging from his room, Judson was a vision in black formal attire. The crisp white shirt contrasted sharply with his black suit, and over it, he wore a milky white sweater, a creation of Eula's delicate handiwork.Myles approached him cautiously. "Mr. Nash, the Lowe family's entourage has arrived.""We should make our way there now," he thought, worried that Judson's delay might be misconstrued as a lack of understanding of etiquette. However, he dared not voice his concerns, instead choosing to keep them to himself.Without a word, Judson turned on his heel and walked away.By the time they reached the Sailboat Hotel, the afternoon was well underway, the clock striking half-past one. Judson, having left his home, decided to satiate his hunger first. He opted for a restaurant he favored, unsure if his appetite would persist into the afternoon. His entourage followed in silence, waiting until he had eaten his fill and quenched his thirst before they all proceeded to the Sailboat Hotel. As Judson stepped into the banquet hall, he commanded the attention of the room. The Lowe family's servants, the hotel staff, and the guests were all captivated by the handsome, aloof man.Whispers fluttered among the Lowe family's servants.
"The groom is so handsome!"
"Yes! Miss Lowe is really lucky."
Meanwhile, Kristina sat in the lounge, her anxiety mounting as she awaited Judson's arrival. Her distress was palpable, leading her to send out scouts to check on Judson's arrival.Suddenly, her maid, Olivia Davis, burst into the room. "Miss Lowe, Mr. Nash has arrived. He looks absolutely dashing!" Olivia exclaimed, her hand flying to cover her mouth in excitement.Kristina shot her a cold glare. "Enough with the theatrics, Olivia. He's mine."Olivia nodded vigorously, "Yes, indeed, Miss Lowe. He is yours."Deciding it was time to join Judson, Kristina rose from her seat. She was adorned in a vibrant red dress, a color that radiated elegance and superiority. Gathering the hem of her dress, she prepared to leave."Kristina, where are you going?" Melissa called out. She believed that Kristina should make a grand entrance at the last moment, a spectacle that would leave everyone in awe.Kristina huffed in annoyance. "Mom, I need to see Judson. He didn't come for the wedding outfit fitting. I'm afraid it might not fit him."
Besides, she had made several alterations to the banquet arrangements and wanted to ensure everything was perfect.Melissa smiled knowingly. "Kristina, haven't you noticed? The outfit will fit him perfectly."Kristina pondered over her mother's words and realized the truth in them. She cast a glance at her own figure. Despite her efforts to lose weight, her appetite had gotten the better of her, resulting in some weight gain. Thankfully, her dress fit her perfectly, saving her from a bout of regret....Meanwhile, at noon, Geoffrey had a dress delivered to Eula’s house. Upon seeing the box in Eula’s hands, Angie asked, "Mommy, what's this?"Eula shook her head, "I'm not sure, sweetheart. Geoffrey sent it."Angie's eyes lit up. "It must be something good. Maybe he bought me a Barbie doll!"Dewitt and Rodolfo, however, had already guessed the contents of the box. They exchanged smirks, amused by their mommy's obliviousness to the dress intended to match her companion.Once back in the living room, Angie urged, "Mommy, open it and see."Eula smiled at her daughter's excitement and agreed, "Alright, calm down, sweetheart."Just then, Geoffrey's call came through. Eula picked up the phone."Eula, does the dress fit you? Remember to put on some makeup," he instructed.Tonight, he wanted to announce to the world that he, Geoffrey, was no longer a bachelor but a man in love with Eula. The thought of making such a declaration on Judson's engagement day brought a smile to his face.
