Chapter 359 Come to My Side
Eula rolled up to the hospital and strolled into Geoffrey's room, spotting him sitting solo on the bed, looking all kinds of miserable.
Geoffrey heard her coming and snapped, "Didn't I tell y'all to leave me the hell alone?"
The servant had just mentioned the food box was on the small table by the couch. Eula couldn't care less about Geoffrey's attitude.
She marched over, grabbed the food box, and headed to his bedside. "Geoffrey, chow time."
Her voice had this playful vibe, super warm and sweet.
Geoffrey blinked, a bit taken aback. "Why are you here again? I don't need anyone's pity."
Eula set up the small table, still grinning. "I'm not going anywhere, and I'm definitely not pitying you. Now eat."
Geoffrey looked like he wanted to knock everything over, but she grabbed his hands. "Geoffrey, I'm not pitying you. You're not some sad case. You've got your family, and you've got me. We all care about you and want you to get better. You're lucky, dude!"
Geoffrey's eyes were empty, staring ahead, feeling the warmth of her hands. He let out a cold laugh. "So, are you gonna stay by my side forever? You won't, right?"
He answered his own question, and Eula's face changed. "Geoffrey, as long as you need me, I'll be here."
She pulled her hand back, sat across from him, and started feeding him. "Eat."
Seeing how much weight he'd lost, she knew he hadn't been eating or sleeping well.
She scooped up some soup and brought it to his mouth. "Open up."
Geoffrey's face calmed down. When he was chill, he looked both handsome and composed.
"Eula, one last time, are you willing to stay by my side and take care of me forever?" Just then, Shirley walked in and signaled Eula to agree to everything he said.
Otherwise, he wouldn't eat and would never see her again.
Eula glanced at Geoffrey. His cold look had to be masking some deep sadness!
If she were blind, she might be even worse off than him.
"Okay, I'll take care of you until your eyes get better." That was her promise, and it was the least she could do to repay him.
Hearing this, Geoffrey's face showed a slight smile, but it quickly vanished.
He reached out to hold her hand. "Eula, are you serious? You don't think I'm pathetic?"
Eula smiled. "How could I?"
A hint of a smile finally appeared on Geoffrey's face, and his voice softened.
"Eat," he muttered, then opened his mouth. He found today's food surprisingly tasty!
In fact, since he couldn't see, his hearing had gotten super sharp. He'd already heard Shirley's footsteps earlier.
But Shirley didn't say anything. Given his condition, Shirley must've given in.
He and Eula had a shot now. The biggest hurdle was gone, and now it was up to him to make it work.
How could he not be in a good mood? His long-time wish was finally coming true. As long as his eyes weren't healed, Eula would stay by his side. All he needed to do was make Eula fall for him during this time.
He was sure that without Shirley's interference, Eula would definitely fall for him, and they'd be happy together.
Geoffrey had a good appetite today and ate a lot.
Shirley, on the side, breathed a sigh of relief. Eula cleaned up the dishes and then took the fruit outside to wash.
Shirley followed her out, standing to the side, watching Eula wash the fruit. "Eula, I'll pay you double the salary of a caregiver for looking after Geoffrey."
