Chapter 182 Don't Bully My Mommy
With a chilling tone, Dewitt declared, "There's no need for explanations. We're not interested in hearing them." His words hung in the air like a frosty mist, and without further ado, he pivoted on his heel, striding towards Eula and Angie.Rodolfo, in response, offered a knowing smile, beckoning Judson with a casual flick of his finger. Judson cast a sidelong glance at him, a sudden realization dawning on him. There was a striking resemblance between him and Rodolfo, especially when the latter wore that particular smile.Judson's brow furrowed in contemplation. He had always likened Dewitt to himself, but now he saw a reflection of his own image in Rodolfo as well. He couldn't help but wonder, 'Is this the work of fate?'Yet, his destiny was intertwined with Eula, not these two young men. His gaze shifted towards Eula, who was tenderly holding the hands of their son and daughter as they ambled towards him.Leaning forward, Judson queried, "Rodolfo, what do you want to say?"
In response, Rodolfo playfully plucked a strand of Judson's hair, letting it drift into the air. "Judson, we share no ties now, just like this strand of hair," he stated, his words echoing with finality. With that, he departed, catching up with his mother who was heading towards the restaurant with Dewitt and Angie.
Judson could only watch their retreating figures, his gaze then falling on the food spread out on the table. It was all Eula and the children's favorites. He ran a hand over his forehead, muttering under his breath, "This is truly troublesome."Judson reached for his fork and knife, attempting to partake in the feast laid before him. However, his appetite had deserted him. He couldn't pinpoint when it had started, but he had grown accustomed to sharing meals with Eula. Her presence had a way of whetting his appetite.
Now, in her absence, his hunger had dissipated. In the end, he abandoned his utensils and left.Eula, meanwhile, had taken her three children to KFC. The fast-food chain was a favorite among them, though she seldom allowed them such indulgences. However, she reasoned that an occasional treat, like today, when both her sons had unexpectedly rallied by her side, was acceptable.
Her spirits were high, and she felt an overwhelming desire to fulfill their every wish. Eula ordered several dishes that they favored, watching them relish their meal with a contented smile. As she nibbled on a chicken wing, she inquired, "Dewitt, Rodolfo, what's gotten into you two today?"It was her first time visiting the glass house of the renowned revolving restaurant. She had heard tales of the exquisite cuisine served there and it was a shame she couldn't sample it that night. However, as long as her children were content, she was willing to forego such pleasures.Dewitt remained silent, while Rodolfo responded in a hushed tone, "Silly mommy, when someone bullies you, remember to tell us. We will help you."Eula was taken aback. Had they noticed? Judson had been blatantly tormenting her daily. However, there were certain things she couldn't voice out loud. She offered them a reassuring smile, saying, "Alright. If anyone bullies me in the future, I'll be sure to let you know so you can exact revenge on my behalf."Angie was too engrossed in her meal to participate in their conversation. Upon hearing Eula's promise, Rodolfo and Dewitt nodded in satisfaction, placing several pieces of chicken wings and thighs before her. "Mommy, try these."Eula felt a surge of warmth envelop her heart. She took a hearty bite, expressing her gratitude, "Thank you!"Just then, her phone rang. Glancing at the screen, she noticed it was a call from her grandpa. She hesitated for a moment before deciding to answer, "Grandpa.""Eula, will you be returning home today?" he asked.Eula's brows furrowed slightly, "Grandpa, I've been quite busy lately. Can I come back in a few days?"Today was a rare opportunity for her to spend quality time with her three children. She had planned to take them to the square to watch the musical fountain after their meal. She had no intention of visiting Lowe’s residence, especially at this critical juncture when Kristina was preparing for her three-day engagement ceremony.
