Chapter 54 Blind Date
As Eula listened to Judson's words, it seemed like he was not very willing. She didn't say anything, this was his personal matter, and she was just a secretary, unable to interfere.
Judson felt that she was behaving well at the moment, but her silence reminded him of the last time he asked her to be his girlfriend and she had refused. It seemed like this woman didn't understand his heart, which annoyed him a bit.
The car parked in the Ash and Dine's parking lot, and the driver opened the door for them. They got out of the car, with Judson walking ahead and her following behind.
They entered the private room, which was not large, just suitable for two people.
Judson ordered the food, and Eula stood up and went to the restroom.
Coming out of the restroom, she washed her hands at the sink.
"Eula..."
A warm voice sounded, and Eula glanced at the mirror. Geoffrey was standing there, his face slightly flushed from alcohol, a smile playing on his lips.
After drying her hands with a tissue, Eula asked, "Geoffrey, do you have a gathering here today?"
Ash and Dine was known for its delicious food and was a members-only establishment, which meant that most people couldn't dine here.
Geoffrey grabbed her arm. "My family and I are having dinner here. Come meet them."
Before Eula could react, Geoffrey pulled her into a nearby private room. The large round table was already full, with adults and children present.
They all glanced at her, and when Madam Hopkins saw Geoffrey pulling Eula, her face slightly changed, and she stood up to come over.
"Geoffrey, why did you bring her here?"
Madam Hopkins was wearing a light green dress, exuding elegance. Her beautiful face had delicate makeup, with precious jewelry adorning her neck and ears.
Geoffrey smiled. "Mom, I brought Eula to meet all of you."
Eula felt a bit awkward, considering that Madam Hopkins had approached her before, offering her money to leave Geoffrey. She had declined the check but assured her that she would stay far away from Geoffrey. Now, the situation felt like she had broken her promise.
Eula called out to her, "Madam, I was also here today, and I ran into Geoffrey by the restroom. He seems intoxicated."
She tried to pull her hand back, but he held onto it tightly. His deep gaze remained fixed on her with a hint of a smile.
"Eula, you are not allowed to leave." he declared.
Madam Hopkins observed the escalating situation and introduced the people inside.
"Eula, this young lady and Geoffrey are engaged. Today, both families are meeting here."
Eula glanced over and saw a beautiful young lady in a white dress sitting beside an empty seat, her eyes locked onto Geoffrey.
She understood now. It was an arranged meeting, which explained why he had consumed so much alcohol and acted so wayward. It had surprised her and left her perplexed, as he was typically a disciplined man.
Eula patted his hand that was holding onto hers. "Geoffrey, let go. My friend is waiting for me."
She needed to leave quickly to avoid spoiling Geoffrey's arranged meeting. Madam Hopkins would surely despise her for that.
Geoffrey didn't release her, his dark eyes staring intensely, appearing ravenous.
"Eula, the person I am going to marry is..."
Before he could finish his sentence, a slender arm pulled her into an embrace.
"Eula, why did you come here? The food is already served."
A tall figure appeared, his handsome face showing a hint of darkness as he spoke coldly.
Then he glanced briefly at the people in the private room.
