Chapter 289 Lost Face

Eula's face turned red. "Judson, not now. We're eating."

She frowned, clearly thinking, 'Is this really the time to talk about that?'

Judson's smile widened, his eyes sparkling, making him look even more handsome.

Just then, Sandra walked in with her mom, Karen Knight. She spotted Judson from across the room, and her smile faltered when she saw him holding Eula's hand.

Karen noticed and asked, "Sandra, what's wrong?"

Karen had been upstairs celebrating Hugo's birthday but was dragged here by Sandra, who mentioned delicious food at Hugo's private restaurant.

She expected a nice meal but saw this instead.

Sandra seated Karen. "Mom, you order. I'll go catch up with Judson."

Karen glanced at Judson and Eula, a knowing look on her face.

Sandra had rushed through her courses to come back for Judson. The black roses in the family greenhouse were also for him. Her heart had always been set on Judson.

Karen sighed, realizing Sandra had someone special in her heart.

Sandra, in a short red dress, looked stunning. She walked over to Judson's table, smiling brightly. "Judson, what a coincidence! Mind if we join you?"

She pointed to Karen. Judson nodded slightly, and Karen smiled back.

Karen was Hugo's stepmother and not close to him, so Judson barely knew her. They only exchanged nods at gatherings.

Eula's expression darkened when she saw Sandra.

Sandra was the perfect match for Judson in terms of social status. No matter how many Judson dated, Sandra seemed like the one he'd end up with.

Eula's appetite vanished. She poked at her food, feeling down.

Though she knew there was a gap between her and Judson, and she was a mother of three, she still wanted to be by his side, to receive his care and protection.

Once she had this thought, she couldn't shake it.

Eula used to think just dating Judson was enough. Now she wanted more. She didn't want to lose him.

Seeing Eula's darkened expression, Judson coldly said, "Sandra, I'm having dinner with my girlfriend and don't want to be disturbed. You and Karen can eat by yourselves."

Sandra, never rejected so directly, kept her elegant smile. "Oh, then I won't disturb you."

She walked back to Karen. Eula watched her sit down gracefully and chat with Karen, suddenly missing her own mother, Belle.

Except for seeing Belle when she was very young, she hadn't seen her since.

In Eula's memory, Belle was a vague figure. There were no photos of Belle at home. She didn't know why Fernando hated Belle so much, destroying everything related to her, as if Belle had never existed.

Judson handed her a fork. "Eula, try this steak."

Eula snapped back to reality. "What?"

Judson cut the steak and placed it on her plate. "Last time, I saw you enjoyed it a lot."
