Chapter 370 Missing Ms. Lowe
Myles didn't overthink it. He knocked on the CEO's office door, walked in, and dropped a document on the desk. "Mr. Nash, need your signature on this."
While Judson was signing, he glanced over at Eula's desk, which looked just like it always did.
With a grin, Myles said, "Congrats, Mr. Nash! You and Ms. Lowe making it official soon?"
Eula had quit, which pretty much meant they were about to go public with their relationship, and marriage was probably next.
Judson shot him a cold look. "Myles, got too much free time on your hands?"
Myles quickly replied, "No, sir. I've been swamped. The hotel and commercial center in East Side are under construction, and I'm overseeing the project."
At the mention of "East Side," Judson's face darkened. He'd already transferred that land to Eula's name. In two years, the hotel and commercial center would be hers.
Thinking about it, he pressed his lips together. He was planning for their future.
He worried that Robert might think she was just an ordinary girl, not fit for the Nash family.
So, he wanted to make her wealthy, so no one would dare question her. No one would gossip or slander her.
But Eula had gone to take care of another man, and that thought made him even more upset.
"Get out, and don't come back unless it's urgent." Judson's cold, angry voice echoed in the big office. Myles quickly grabbed the document. "I'm outta here."
Myles turned and almost sprinted out the door.
Winnien was outside and smiled. "Is Mr. Nash in a good mood?"
Myles, thinking about how he almost felt killed by his angry gaze, frowned. "Winnien, tell everyone to tread lightly today."
Winnien got the hint. When Judson was in a bad mood, the whole Nash Group felt it.
From then on, everyone was super cautious.
But the tension in the CEO's office kept rising. Anyone who went in came out getting chewed out, and none of today's proposals got approved.
Even a proposal from a year ago got rejected, and everyone had to work overtime to come up with new ones.
Myles wiped the sweat off his brow. He'd lost count of how many times he'd been scolded today and was seriously considering not coming in tomorrow.
He headed to the break room, poured himself a cup of coffee; while sipping it, he pulled out his phone and dialed Eula's number.
Eula was at the hospital. Geoffrey had just fallen asleep, and she was dozing on the couch. When her phone rang, she sat up in a panic and grabbed it. "Hello."
Her voice was sweet and soothing.
"Ms. Lowe, did you and Mr. Nash have a fight?" Myles asked.
Thinking about the chaos at Nash Group today, it was a disaster zone; everyone was on edge.
Eula got up and walked to the guest lounge outside. "Sort of! I resigned, and he's not happy."
Judson, that petty man, even though she had told him she loved him and was only taking care of Geoffrey out of gratitude, he was still mad.
She didn't want to coax him anymore; he could do whatever he wanted.
Myles finally got it; this was the root of the problem. "Ms. Lowe, we hope that you come back to work."
When Eula was around, Nash Group was great. They didn't have to deal with Judson's mood swings; if there was any trouble or if Judson was unhappy, they just let Eula handle it.
Now, they missed her and wished she would come back.
Eula sighed, "I'd love to, but I've got some stuff to deal with right now, so I can't come back just yet."
