Chapter 145 Windfall
Dewitt flashed a casual smile. "Go get 'em, Mom!"
Encouraged by her son's cheerful voice, Eula nodded earnestly. "Yes!"
She got into the car and saw her son, wearing a black coat, standing at the doorway, watching her leave. The sight reminded her of Judson; somehow, Dewitt's features, even his proud bearing, seemed so much like Judson's.
She couldn't help but smile, thinking that maybe all handsome men started off looking much the same as little boys.
Eula drove her red Volvo to Cloud University. The design class she was attending was held there and was rumored to be top-notch and responsible for launching numerous famous designers.
Inside the classroom, there were about twenty students, both male and female. The girl who took the seat next to her scooted closer. "Hi there, I'm Jenna. Looks like we're going to be classmates."
Eula returned the smile, "Hi! I'm Eula."
Jenna was the outgoing type, striking up a conversation with Eula in no time.
"Eula, did you know? For this workshop, I heard that the renowned designer Tiffany herself is going to teach some of the classes."
Eula had not heard about it, but she definitely knew of Tiffany, one of the most acclaimed designers of the moment. "That's amazing!"
She admired Tiffany's creations. Back when she used to splurge at the Lowe’s, she loved picking up clothes from that brand. Now, it was a different story—far too pricey. Whenever a new line was released, it felt like everything was snapped up immediately.
Not just anyone could get their hands on the items; you either needed connections with the sales staff or to be a valued customer.
Eula felt that if she could learn from Tiffany, coming here was undoubtedly the right move.
On the first day, they received their textbooks, met a few of the teachers, and got acquainted with each other. Then the class was dismissed.
As Eula was leaving the classroom with her books, the teacher-in-charge called out to her.
"Eula, can you stay for a moment?"
She turned to Jenna. "The teacher's calling me, go ahead, I'll catch up."
Jenna nodded, "We were supposed to grab lunch together! Next time then!"
Eula approached her teacher and inquired. "Ms. Laura, did you need me for something?"
It was just the first day, and the teacher already remembered her name. Indeed, her name was memorable.
Ms. Laura smiled, "Eula, someone wants to meet you. Please, follow me."
Eula walked behind her and went upstairs to the office. Upon entering, she saw an elegant woman seated by the window. Dressed in a sleek black dress, her poise was striking from every angle.
The woman turned, greeting Eula with a soft smile.
"Eula, I'm the one who wanted to see you."
Seeing her face, Eula was filled with delighted surprise and quickly closed the distance.
"Tiffany, it really is you! I'm so thrilled! I absolutely adore your designs."
Eula had never expected that on her very first day of class, she'd meet her idol before even attending a single lecture.
Gracefully lifting her slender wrist, the woman offered, “I made you some coffee; give it a try.”
Eula elegantly sipped the coffee and beamed, “Delicious!”
Tiffany returned the smile. “Eula, do you have a passion for fashion design?”
Nodding enthusiastically, Eula recounted, “I've loved it ever since I was tiny, watching my mom make clothes. I'd hover around even though my memories are fragmented; just glimpses, really. But they give me such a warm and blissful feeling! That's why I decided to follow in her footsteps.”
