Chapter 322 Even Heaven is Helping Her
Eula knew Shirley would never be cool with them being together, so the Hopkins fam had no clue Geoffrey was crashing Christmas at the Lowes.
Geoffrey just smirked, "That's my deal. I don't need their thumbs-up."
Just like Eula figured, it was totally his call to show up.
Right then, David came down the stairs, holding Angie's hand, grinning like a kid on Christmas morning.
Eula didn't bring up the whole going-home-for-Christmas thing with Geoffrey again.
Over at the Nash place, Judson rolled in solo, and Jessica's happy grin froze.
"Wait, where's Eula? And the kids?"
She peered at the car behind him, but no Eula, no kids.
Judson shrugged, "Don't bother. They ain't coming."
With that, he breezed into the living room.
Inside, Robert was chilling in his wheelchair, a big smile plastered on his face.
When Judson walked over, Robert slowly raised his hand, mumbling something.
Judson had no clue what he was saying. He plopped on the couch, grabbed his phone, and saw a message from Eula, so he started typing back.
Robert kept talking, but Judson was too busy with his phone to notice.
Robert just waited until Jessica walked in, looking all bummed out.
"Robert, it's just us three for Christmas again this year."
She had hoped for a full house with Eula and the kids, and she had all the gifts ready.
She never got to hand out those presents over the years.
The Nash fam was down to so few people. Now it was just Judson. No wonder Robert woke up from his coma, hoping Judson would get hitched and have kids.
Hearing this, Robert got all grumpy and tossed the gift he was holding to the floor.
Jessica walked over to him.
"Robert, it's Christmas! No tantrums. Isn't that enough with Judson here?"
Robert shot a look at Judson, mad that he couldn't even recognize his own kid. He used to think Judson was the sharpest tool in the shed.
Now he felt like he was blind.
Judson couldn't even recognize his own wife and kid; what a dope.
Judson was already in a foul mood, just finished texting Eula, and seeing Robert's face, he raised an eyebrow.
"Grandpa, what did I screw up this time?"
Judson figured Robert was upset because he hadn't brought back a granddaughter-in-law Robert approved of.
Jessica patted Robert's chest, "Robert, don't chew him out. It's Christmas, be nice to Judson."
She still remembered Judson as a kid, and now he was all grown up, old enough to be a dad.
The more she thought about it, the faster time seemed to fly.
Just then, the servant brought Kristina in.
"Mrs. Nash, Mr. Nash, Mr. Nash, Miss Lowe is here."
Judson thought Eula had come, his eyes lit up, but when he saw Kristina, he got what Eula's earlier question meant.
'So Kristina really crashed the party. Did she forget the contract terms?'
The servant set the gifts she brought aside. Kristina was rocking a red dress with a white fur vest over it.
Her high heels clicked on the floor as she smiled.
"Mr. Nash, Mrs. Nash, I'm here to spend Christmas with you."
She flashed a smile at Judson and then plopped down next to Robert.
"Mr. Nash, you're looking great today. Your health is really on the up and up."
After hearing Fernando's advice, she knew Robert was the one to cozy up to in the Nash family.
She had the guts to show up uninvited 'cause Robert gave her the green light. He liked her and was the one who set her up with Judson.
That's why Judson asked her to fake being his girlfriend, and she just got it now.
