Chapter 475 Confirming the Marriage
Geoffrey pretended to be blind, so there was no change in the emotions in his eyes.
He simply said in a calm voice, "You're hurting my hand."
Sierra then awkwardly let go of his hand and smiled. "Mr. Hopkins, I'm sorry! I got a bit excited."
After entering the city, they could see tall buildings and bustling traffic.
Sierra sighed, "Why is no one selling anything? Do people not buy things anymore?"
She looked at both sides of the road, which were lined with trees, but there were no vendors. She felt that the modern world was not fun at all.
The driver widened his eyes and looked at Sierra through the rearview mirror, almost unable to hold back his laughter.
Sierra was definitely from the countryside.
Geoffrey frowned slightly. He regretted bringing Sierra out, afraid that she could make a fool.
After all, David was very important to him, and he couldn't afford any mistakes.
This was about whether he could marry Eula and defeat Judson.
The car stopped in front of Harmony Tea House. The driver opened the door for him, and Sierra got out first to help him. Her little face was wrinkled, seemingly unhappy.
Geoffrey thought for a moment, "Hailey, take Sierra out for a walk later and buy some good food."
Hearing this, Sierra's eyes lit up. "Okay!"
Then she winked at Hailey excitedly, almost flying with joy.
Hailey was a bit overwhelmed. Sierra was really something, not realizing that looking at a man like that could give others the wrong idea.
Sierra helped Geoffrey into Harmony Tea House, and from a distance, they heard David's voice. "Geoffrey, over here."
Sierra knew Geoffrey's name, so she waved at David and helped Geoffrey to his side, pulling out a chair for him to sit down.
David looked at Geoffrey, who was handsome, but pitied his eyes.
However, he believed that with modern medical technology, Geoffrey would recover.
"Geoffrey, try this tea," David said.
A tea master was making tea with graceful movements and finally placed the tea in front of Geoffrey.
Sierra glanced at Geoffrey, who fumbled to pick up the teacup and drink the tea, thinking he was really good at pretending.
If she hadn't seen him acting normal before, she would have really thought he was blind!
She bent down and whispered to Geoffrey, "Mr. Hopkins, Hailey, and I are going out for a walk. Will you be okay by yourself?"
Geoffrey remembered this matter and responded. "Go ahead!"
Sierra smiled happily and said to David. "Mr. Lowe, we'll see you later."
Then she ran out like a gust of wind, her laughter full of joy.
David looked towards the door, thinking Sierra was quite cheerful and had a good personality.
Geoffrey saw David's gaze and explained. "She's a little maid who's been taking care of me recently."
David then withdrew his gaze and smiled. "I'm hosting a party for Eula on Saturday to announce her identity and your engagement. What do you think?"
Geoffrey had been waiting for this. A smile appeared on his lips. "I've always liked Eula. I've been by her side for the past six years. I have no objections."
David nodded, "That's good. Geoffrey, this is what you owe Eula. She has borne the brunt of the criticism for six years. I hope you treat her well and make her happy!"
This was David's wish. Eula had lost her mother at a young age, and her father didn't care about her. She was a child with a hard life.
He had always protected her, making her a bit happier.
Geoffrey replied, "Mr. Lowe, don't worry. I will treat Eula well. I'm also treating my eyes, and the doctor said they will recover."
He wanted to reassure David, as he wasn't actually blind.
