Chapter 225 Judson's Woman
Eula listened to Angie's sweet and coquettish voice, finding it truly endearing. She sat by the bed and helped blow on her wound.
"I'll comfort you just the same," she said.
Angie obediently sat there, pouting slightly. "Eula, actually, I'd rather have Judson comfort me!"
Because Judson was like the father in her dreams, the father figure she envisioned was just like Judson, resembling her brothers.
Eula wasn't angry; she understood her daughter the best.
"Alright, I'll have him come to comfort you in a bit!"
Rodolfo got up, rubbing his eyes. "Eula, Judson had to leave for an urgent matter. I've already thanked him."
As he spoke, his gaze shifted towards Dewitt; the brothers shared the same thoughts.
For Judson to get close to Eula now, he would have to pass their reevaluation.
The family of four had breakfast, then left the hospital. Dewitt had taken care of the discharge procedures, so once they left, everything would be settled.
Myles hurriedly entered. "Eula, why did you pay the medical bills when Judson said it's on the house?"
He had rushed over from home; Judson had asked him to come and handle things here, to send the family of four back home.
Unexpectedly, the instructions Judson gave to waive the medical bills hadn't been followed through. If Judson found out, Myles feared he might be sent to Africa to shovel feces.
He didn't want to go; malaria was rampant there, and he feared he might accidentally get infected and die in a foreign land.
Eula was helping Angie put on her shoes when she calmly replied, "Myles, we've already settled the medical bills, no need for a list. Please thank Judson for his kind gesture."
Eula took Angie's hand and asked carefully, "Angie, can you walk? Are you feeling dizzy? Should I carry you?"
Angie wasn't that delicate; she sweetly smiled. "No need, I'm not dizzy, I can walk on my own."
The events of last night had made Angie grow up a bit. When facing villains, Eula was brave. So Angie wanted to be brave too, like Eula, like her two brothers.
With just a minor injury, she was fine and could walk on her own.
Myles followed behind them, touching his forehead. He hoped Judson wouldn't blame them.
Judson went to the residential building from last night. His long legs carried him into the three-room apartment where a dozen men were tied up inside.
Upon seeing him enter, their eyes widened in surprise.
They hadn't expected someone like Judson to show up.
Hubert, awakened by the door opening, had blood all over his face, hands tied behind his back. He lifted his face slightly, his bloodshot eyes meeting Judson's gaze.
Wade removed the cloth from Hubert's mouth and kicked him. "Do you know who Judson is?"
Hubert was completely caught off guard. He was just trying to make a living through loan sharking; how did he provoke Judson? They really couldn't afford to mess with him; they might not be able to survive in City A in the future.
"Judson, I don't know where I offended you?" Hubert's men placed a chair in front of them, and Judson sat down, lighting a cigarette.
Taking a calm drag, his devilish face showed no emotion, just a detached gaze.
Wade said softly, "You messed with the wrong people."
Hubert hesitated. "Is that Eula from last night someone Judson knows?"
The only thing he could think of was that despicable Eula from last night, who fought even fiercer than him. Looking at his face, he resembled a pig's head.
It was her who beat him up; she was too ruthless.
Wade nodded slightly. "You're smart. How much money did you take from Eula last night? Return it all."
Hubert's face changed; it was indeed related to Eula.
He suddenly struggled. "Judson, we were blind; we didn't know Eula is your woman. I'll have the money returned right away. Please spare us."
