Chapter 14 Eula's Date
Eula Lowe shook her head, "No, we didn't argue."
She had never mentioned her family before, and Geoffrey Hopkins only found out that she was a young lady of the Lowe family when he helped her with her household registration.
Having such a status, yet wandering alone outside and raising three children by herself. He felt pity for her. He thought that she must have had a big fight with her family before moving out on her own.
He had asked a friend to handle the registration, without alerting the Lowe family at all.
"Eula, I have always been here. Whenever you need help, you can come to me." As long as she turned back, he would always be waiting for her.
Eula Lowe smiled, "I'm really fine. I just caught a cold a few days ago, so I haven't fully recovered yet. Don't worry."
Geoffrey Hopkins didn't ask further. He drove her back to Snow Street and stayed for dinner. When he left, it was almost dark outside, and the whole family saw them off at the door.
Angie waved at him, "Uncle Geoffrey, goodbye!"
Dewitt and Rodolfo also bid him farewell, "Uncle Geoffrey, drive safely."
Geoffrey Hopkins liked coming to Eula Lowe's house. The family was warm and welcoming, and their smiles were pure and warm. He felt that this place was like paradise, a beautiful world.
After the car drove off, the family happily made their way home.
Eula Lowe asked her two sons, "You two have classes tonight, so hurry up and get ready to go."
Angie had piano lessons, and she wanted to personally accompany her and watch her lesson.
But when she thought about the expensive tuition fee of five thousand, she felt overwhelmed. She had to find a job tomorrow.
Eula Lowe changed into her going-out clothes and adjusted Angie's scarf.
"Sweetie, you have to study hard today, no more fooling around." Angie had chosen this course herself, but after a while, she started slacking off and not taking it seriously.
Angie nodded, "Oh, I understand." After saying that, she stared at Eula Lowe and asked, "Eula, has that handsome uncle who takes care of you been asking you out for dinner or to see a movie?"
That's how it's shown on TV. After the man took good care of the woman when she's sick, they go on dates, and soon after, they get married.
Eula Lowe felt annoyed when she heard Judson Nash's name. She thought about how she owed him a lot of money for no reason at all and felt extremely unlucky. Even if she gets very sick, she wouldn't want him to take care of her.
The ridiculous and expensive medical bills...
She wished she had the ability to make money. At that moment, her phone rang and Angie handed it to her.
"Eula, it might be the handsome uncle asking you out!" Eula Lowe tightened her scarf and thought to herself, he is drinking at his father-in-law's house now, how could he be looking for her? She took the phone from her daughter, almost dropping it in shock, because it was Judson Nash calling. Angie urged her, "Answer it quickly!"
He was the creditor, she was the debtor, and she had no choice but to answer.
"Hello." The voice was indifferent, even more unfamiliar than when speaking to a stranger.
"Eula Lowe, come to Starry Villa in half an hour, or else the interest will double." After saying that, he hung up.
Eula Lowe frowned. There is interest too? She really regretted signing.
Angie heard their talks and happily bounced around. "Yeah yeah! It's really the handsome uncle asking you out! Hurry up and put on some makeup, make yourself look pretty. I'm going to class, I'll be a good girl."
Eula Lowe watched the cheerful little girl going downstairs and became somewhat anxious. "Angie, let Aunt Mary accompany you to class, did you hear me?"
"Got it, remember to seduce the handsome uncle and give him a grandchild!" Eula Lowe looked at the words the girl had learned from somewhere. Seduce, grandchild...
When she went downstairs, it was already half past six, and she had to arrive at Starry Villa by seven, so she could only drive there. However, she was stuck in traffic during the rush hour after work. She felt quite sorry for this, the fuel cost was so expensive. She spent a huge sum of money to buy this car, just to make it easier for Angie to go to the hospital at night. She usually couldn't bear to drive it. But taking a taxi would be even more expensive, so she had to endure and drive herself.
Finally, she arrived at the entrance of Starry Villa, but the security guard stopped her from entering. Eula Lowe told him the room number, "I am his guest. If you don't believe me, I can call him."
The security guard looked suspicious, would Judson Nash have such poor friends? They didn't believe her. So many people wanted to get close to Judson Nash, and the number of people they sent away every day was countless. She was the first one to come in an old car like this. Was she pretending to be pitiful? Trying to gain Judson Nash's sympathy and climb into his bed?
"Judson Nash is not seeing guests now." Eula Lowe was infuriated by their attitude. If it wasn't for the cost of fuel, she would definitely leave. But that guy threatened her with the interest. It was all because she was poor! So she called him on her phone.
"Eula Lowe, it's been five minutes, why haven't you arrived yet?" A man's voice was cold and tinged with anger.
Eula Lowe took a deep breath to calm herself down. After all, he was her creditor, and he could easily add more interest that she wouldn't be able to repay.
"Judson Nash, I'm at the entrance, but the security guards won't let me in."
Judson Nash responded, "I will handle it."
He hung up the phone, and soon the security guards allowed her to enter, displaying a polite demeanor. They were definitely influential.
Eula Lowe ignored them, and drove into the villa area.
This villa area was a prime location in City A, and it was a property developed by the Nash Family.
She followed the map he gave her and found Building A8. Her car smoothly entered the yard, and as she was about to get out, her phone rang.
Eula Lowe saw that it was a call from Darcy Osborne. Afraid that it was urgent, she answered, "Darcy, what’s wrong?"
Darcy Osborne was still at the hospital, and when she saw her daughter sleeping with an IV, she lowered her voice.
"Eula, I heard from Angie that you have a date. Is it with that Judson Nash? Good luck! If you win him over, you'll have a life of comfort!"
Darcy Osborne was Eula Lowe's good friend whom she met in the nightclub, and she had also gone through many hardships.
Eula Lowe was speechless.
She came to repay a debt. How could it be considered a date? Did that Angie spread rumors about her everywhere?
That girl was really naughty. She loved to talk and gossip. Who did she take after?
She rubbed her forehead, "Darcy, Judson Nash and I are impossible. He's getting married, so there's no need to persuade me."
"You fool. Even if he gets married, he can still divorce. Look at my damn husband. He's abandoned his wife and children and ran off with a mistress."
Eula Lowe couldn't help but laugh, "Miss Darcy Osborne, don't you hate mistresses the most? Why are you trying to make me become one?"
Darcy Osborne tapped her head, "Eula, I think Judson Nash likes you. Just take one step towards him, and he will definitely be yours."
Just then, another call came in. She glanced at it and confirmed her suspicion. It was the debt collector, Judson Nash.
"Darcy, I have something to deal with. Let's talk when I visit Estelle tomorrow."
After hanging up the phone, she hurriedly walked towards the villa. He had given her the passcode, and she entered through the back door. Inside, she saw a man leaning on the sofa, seeming to have had drunk too much.
His well-defined fingers were forcefully tugging at his tie, and his eyes were slightly narrowed. "Eula Lowe, you're ten minutes late. I will have to punish you."
When the man looked at her, there was a hint of wildness in his eyes. He reached out and pulled her towards him, catching Eula Lowe off guard, causing her to fall onto him.
"Ah!"
