Chapter 80 Be My Girlfriend
A hint of darkness flashed in the depths of Judson’s eyes before he raised his hand and pulled Eula into his embrace. In just a moment, their lips met in an unexpected kiss.
Startled, Eula attempted to sit up. However, his grip was too strong as he held her down to deepen the kiss.
Judson moved to pin her beneath him as he continued to kiss her passionately. Initially, she resisted, pushing him with her hands. However, as time went on, her strength weakened until she was no longer able to reject him.
After the long kiss ended, Judson felt a pang of disappointment. He knew it was not the right moment to continue further so he stopped. He propped himself up using his arms and hovered above her, staring down at her.
“Why do your lips taste so sweet?” Judson murmured. He had become addicted to her sweetness when he kissed her.”
Eula returned to her senses when she heard his voice. A hint of alarm could be seen in her clear eyes as she touched her lips. After a moment, she said, “What is this? Judson, you... you did it again. You forced a kiss on me. You...”
Judson said with a smirk, “Why? Are you thinking of quitting so you can get as far away from me as possible?”
The mention of leaving the company made Eula panic. She shook her head emphatically and said, “No, Judson, I really like my job. I’m not going anywhere.”
Judson had anticipated her response. He traced her swollen lips with his fingers as his smirk grew wider. At the same time, he said, “Good. Then keep at it. Continue working until it’s time for you to retire.”
When Judson left for the bathroom, Eula continued lying on his bed. After a while, she came to her senses and quickly got up. She made the bed and tidied up the room before she hurried out.
Eula returned to her desk, feeling dejected. Judson kept bullying her, but if she protested or rebuked him, she risked getting fired. It was already hard enough being a woman, and it was harder being a working woman.
Eula sighed, at a loss over what to do next.
When Judson reappeared, he noticed the mood she was in. He tapped his long fingers on her desk.
Eula looked up and quickly stood up. She asked, “Judson, do you need something?”
Judson’s gaze turned intense as he said, “Eula, be my girlfriend.”
Judson had made up his mind. He had never said such words to a woman before. He felt that he had to make his thoughts clear.
Eula was dumbfounded. It took a long time before she finally replied, “You’re supposed to get engaged to Kristina. I can’t be your girlfriend.”
Eula absolutely refused to be the other woman.
Judson furrowed his brows. He wanted to clarify the matter, but it would be better if fewer people knew about him and Kristina.
The engagement was just an arrangement to comfort his ailing grandfather. It would only worsen things if he went against his grandfather’s wishes. If he did as his grandfather wished, perhaps his grandfather would recover.
In the end, Judson remained silent. He picked up his coat before he opened the door and left.
Eula sighed as she watched Judson leave. It was clear to her that he could not let Kristina go. For this reason, she could not be his girlfriend.
In fact, Eula had briefly thought about becoming Judson’s girlfriend. After all, it would allow her to stay at the company for a little longer. However, when she thought about Kristina being his fiancée, she could not bring herself to agree to his request.
At the end of the workday, Judson did not return to the company at all, and Eula spent the entire afternoon in a daze.
At 6 PM, Eula packed up, ready to make her way to Judson‘s place. However, at this time, she received a message from Judson. It simply read: Don’t come over tonight.
