Chapter 368 Begging Him
Eula hustled over to the CEO's office. As she passed by the cubicles, her coworkers scattered, but she didn't care.
Word about Judson's injury had probably spread like wildfire, and since she'd been at the hospital with him and hadn't been back to the office, people were likely gossiping up a storm.
She pushed open the door and stepped inside, spotting Kristina lounging on the couch with Judson across from her.
Eula had no clue what they were chatting about, but Kristina looked pretty pleased with herself.
She dropped her bag, her big eyes darting their way every now and then.
Judson knew she was there but didn't even look up. He just sat there, fingers interlaced.
"Ms. Lowe, our deal's done." With that, he ripped up the agreement right in front of her.
Kristina nodded. "Alright, Mr. Nash, thanks for the extra cash."
She grabbed the check and gave him a wink.
"Mr. Nash, if you ever need anything, just holler."
Judson stood up. "Please leave."
Kristina kept smiling, but inside she was fuming. She'd thought coming to see Judson would keep their partnership going, letting her use his name for her own gains.
But he was cold. First thing he did was hand her a check and tear up the contract, leaving her no room to maneuver.
As Kristina walked past Eula, she smiled. "Eula, Grandpa wants you back home, and your marriage to Geoffrey needs to be sorted out. Congrats!"
Eula's eyes darkened a bit, but Kristina just laughed and mouthed, "Even if I can't have Judson, you won't either."
With that, she pushed the door open and left. Eula bit her lip slightly.
If David wanted her back home, it was definitely Kristina's doing. No way was she being kind; they wanted her to marry Geoffrey.
Judson sat down at his desk and got to work. Eula took a moment to gather her thoughts, wondering what to do next.
When she snapped out of it, she looked at Judson, busy as ever. He still had a band-aid on his forehead, but it didn't make him any less handsome. If anything, it added a rugged charm.
She walked over to him. "Mr. Nash, how are you feeling today?"
Since he'd been discharged and looked pretty lively, he must be on the mend.
Judson glanced at her, unimpressed. "Do you really care how I feel?"
He was still ticked off that she'd gone to take care of Geoffrey first thing in the morning.
Eula took a deep breath, remembering his injury was because of her. She had to keep her cool.
She moved behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Judson, don't be mad. Geoffrey's blind now; I can't just leave him. He saved my life."
Judson frowned. "You're not going there anymore. I'll find the best doctor for him."
Since Eula owed him, he'd settle the score.
Eula smiled and kissed his cheek. "Judson, you're so sweet! But I want to repay this debt myself."
She kissed him a few more times. "I want to take a month off. Once his eyes are better, I'll come back, okay?"
Hearing this, Judson's softened expression hardened again. He pulled her onto his lap.
They locked eyes, his gaze icy.
"Eula, are you really willing to ditch your job for that guy? Taking leave isn't an option, but quitting is."
The office fell silent, only their breathing filling the space.
Eula pouted. "Judson, please, during my toughest times, Geoffrey was there for me. Now that he's in his darkest hour, I can't just abandon him."
