Chapter 363 Trying to Cheer Him Up
Eula tossed and turned all night, haunted by Judson's cold, stern face.
She knew he was mad, but had no clue how to make it right.
When she finally checked the time, it was only 6:30 AM. Way too early.
She sat up, wide awake, staring out the window into the darkness. The sky was still pitch black.
"Judson, you're such a pain," she muttered.
Love really did make people stupid, and she felt like the biggest fool.
She knew he probably didn't even care about her feelings, but she couldn't sleep or eat properly.
Just thinking about his face before he stormed off made her shiver. Judson was downright terrifying when he was angry, so much so that she didn't dare go near him.
She decided to head over to his place and make him breakfast. Maybe that would calm him down.
Today, she was going to be the perfect, obedient girlfriend to win back his favor.
After freshening up, Eula put on some light makeup and picked out a professional yet slightly sexy outfit.
Her figure was graceful and elegant, with high heels that were thin and long. A champagne-colored silk blouse tucked into a pencil skirt showed off her slim waist and firm, rounded hips.
Her golden hair fell softly over her shoulders, giving her a look that was both sexy and a bit innocent.
She put on her coat, grabbed her bag, and was ready to head to Judson's place.
Just then, her phone rang.
Eula pulled out her phone and saw it was Shirley calling. She frowned and didn't pick up.
She figured Shirley would think she was still asleep since it was so early.
When the call ended, she felt a bit relieved and headed downstairs.
Before she reached the bottom, her phone buzzed again.
She glanced at it and saw a transfer from Shirley—$1,500.
Eula felt a bit disappointed looking at the $1,500, and then the calls started coming in, one after another.
By the time she stepped out the front door, she already had ten missed calls. Eula was feeling pretty annoyed.
"Shirley," she answered, her voice low and clearly unhappy.
"Eula, you're finally up. I've already sent you this month's salary, double what a hospital caregiver makes. Is that enough? If not, just tell me how much you need."
The birds in the trees outside were chirping pleasantly.
The air was fresh, and what could have been a beautiful morning was ruined by this call.
Hearing no response, Shirley started to cry. "Eula, I'm begging you. Geoffrey is so down, and as his mom, I can't stand to see it. He listens to you, so please help me take care of him until he gets better. I'll pay you whatever you want."
She sighed deeply, "Seeing him like this, can't you have any sympathy? I'm begging you."
Listening to Shirley cry, someone usually so competitive and proud, Eula's heart softened. They were both moms, willing to do anything for their sons. She didn't want to see Geoffrey give up on himself either.
She went to Judson's house and made breakfast. She didn't know much, only what he had previously forced her to learn from Mary.
She set the breakfast on the table.
Eula packed a portion, grabbed a thermos, and stood at the door, glancing upstairs while changing her shoes.
It was only 7:00 AM; Judson probably wasn't up yet, so she decided not to disturb him.
Eula took the breakfast back home, got in her car, and drove to the hospital.
As she left, Judson had just woken up, his head aching. He raised his hand to his head, took some pills from the table beside him, and after a while, he opened his eyes.
His long, clean fingers grabbed his phone, and he dialed Hugo.
"Judson, what brings you to call me so early?"
"I woke up with a terrible headache. Is that a problem?"
