Chapter 401 Angie is Missing
Darcy was taken aback for a moment. "Is that so?"
No wonder he was so adamant about not agreeing before, and even after agreeing for a month, he ran away.
So, this was the reason.
Eula nodded, "Judson said that if that's the case, he wouldn't be able to do his previous job."
Darcy's face grew darker, and she pressed her lips together, deep in thought.
At that moment, Eula's phone rang. It was Dewitt calling.
"Dewitt, are you out of school?" Eula asked.
It didn't seem like it was time yet, but sometimes the school had activities and would let out early.
"Mommy, Angie is missing. Kristina took her." Dewitt said.
Hearing this, Eula suddenly stood up and quickly walked out. "What happened? Weren't you in the same class as her? How could she be taken away?"
Thinking of Kristina, she was scared, not knowing what she might do.
Thinking of the cruel things Kristina and her mother did to her back then, their hearts were made of stone, and they were vicious.
Angie was so young and innocent, completely unaware of how terrifying the adult world could be.
'What should I do? Will Kristina hit Angie? Or sell her to human traffickers?' Eula thought nervously.
"Eula, what's wrong?" Seeing Eula's distraught look and the tears in her eyes, Darcy was indeed frightened.
Eula hung up and kept pressing the elevator button, growing impatient. "Darcy, Angie was taken by Kristina and is now missing. I need to find Angie."
Darcy was also startled, "I'll go with you!"
"What about Estelle?"
"Don't worry, Elbert hired a caregiver and a maid. Even if I'm not there, they will take care of her."
Eula nodded repeatedly upon hearing this. "Okay, let's go together."
In the parking lot, Darcy drove while Eula sat in the passenger seat, looking very anxious.
She muttered to herself, "What should I do? Angie is so small, she can't resist."
She regretted not going to the school when she left Geoffrey's place. No wonder she felt uneasy today; it turned out she had a premonition.
Darcy glanced at her while driving, "Eula, call Judson. He has a lot of connections and can definitely help you."
Eula suddenly remembered, "Right, call Judson."
She took out her phone and dialed his number.
Recently, Judson had been very busy with the issue on the east side of town, handling everything personally.
The media wanted to interview him, he had to meet with the families involved, and he had to deal with public opinion.
He also had to manage the work at the Nash Group, practically needing to be in several places at once.
When Eula called, Myles answered. "Ms. Lowe, it's Myles. Mr. Nash is not available to take the call right now."
Eula was taken aback. He wasn't available? What should she do?
"Myles, I need him to take the call, quickly. It's urgent." She spoke with a sob, startling Myles.
"Okay, I'll get him on the phone right away. Don't worry, don't cry."
After a moment, Judson's deep, resonant voice came through the phone. "Eula, what's wrong?"
Myles had told him she was crying, and Judson felt a pang of heartache.
"Judson, Angie was taken by Kristina. I'm afraid she'll hurt Angie."
She started crying again, and Judson understood. The only thing that could make her cry and lose her composure was the children.
But out of the three kids, the one she worried about the most was Angie.
"Alright, leave this to me. Stay home and wait for news. Don't run around." Judson comforted
"No, I need to find her."
Judson frowned slightly, "Listen to me, don't make me worry more."
Given her current state, she was likely a mess. He was afraid she might get into an accident while driving or run around aimlessly and get herself lost.
Kristina taking Angie must be part of some plan. Maybe it was to threaten Eula.
