Chapter 149 Grandpa Got Tamed

Liz's brows furrowed slightly. Wasn't it Sunday? And it was already half-past six – why was he still working?

"Judson, aren't you coming home for dinner?"

"Yeah, Grandma, I've been swamped lately, I won't make it back for a while."

"Alright then, I'll let Eula know you won't be joining us. We'll eat without you."

Just as Liz was about to hang up, Judson stopped her.

"Grandma, who did you mention just now?"

Liz smiled; there it was, a spark of interest at the mention of Eula's name.

Sure enough, her grandson wasn't particularly sentimental about his grandma, but mention a beautiful woman? That surely piqued his interest.

"Today I invited Eula and her three darlings over for dinner. If you're not coming, we'll start without you."

"I just finished up; I'll head home now."

The call ended and Liz chuckled to herself.

Yet she couldn't help but glance towards the living room. Dewitt and Rodolfo really did bear a striking resemblance to Judson. If they were his sons, that would be quite the revelation.

If those three kids were Judson’s, it would surely make his wish come true.

Eula guided Angie back to the living room. "Angie, stay here and eat your snacks. Don't wander off, okay?"

The Nash family's main house was enormous, and Eula worried Angie might get lost.

The little girl had a tendency to cry. And when she started, she could go on for hours – not ideal when they were visiting someone's home.

So, she had to keep a close eye on her.

"Dewitt, Rodolfo, can you boys keep an eye on Angie for me? Make sure she doesn't wander."

Dewitt and Rodolfo chimed in unison, "Sure thing, Mommy!"

Only then did Eula sit down and take a few sips of water.

Just then, there came a commotion from John's bedroom, followed by a servant rushing out in a hurry.

Eula rose, and the three children got up with her, making their way into the bedroom.

Inside, they saw John had knocked everything off the bedside table onto the floor, and Angie stepped back a few paces in fright.
Eula hurried over, "Grandpa Nash, what's wrong? Are you feeling alright?"

The sight of the woman before him seemed to calm the old man. He gazed at her, then at the three children behind her, and a smile spread across his face.

Angie approached with her tiny hand stretched out. "Grandpa Nash, have some candy. It'll make you happy. Being grumpy isn't good."

Angie unwrapped a candy and popped it into John's mouth. He chewed vigorously, and his smile grew even deeper. It's as if he wanted to say how sweet it was, but Angie answered for him.

"Is it sweet? It makes you feel better, right? Let's not be grumpy anymore, okay?"

Dewitt and Rodolfo picked up some medicine boxes from the floor, placing them on the table and helped tidy his hair. Rodolfo straightened his collar, "You've got to wear your clothes right to look sharp, Grandpa."

The three children took care of John like little adults, offering both care and gentle guidance. He savored his candy, listened intently, and no longer seemed upset.

The household staff and nurses were stunned, then murmured softly among themselves.

"Mr. Nash isn't angry anymore, he's actually smiling."

"Yeah! We've taken care of him for so long, and this is the first time we've seen him smile!"

Liz bustled in with urgency and saw the scene—John surrounded by the children, with Eula massaging him. She breathed a sigh of relief.

"Weren't you saying Grandpa was in a fit of anger? That doesn't seem to be the case! "

The confused servant replied, "Just now, Mr. Nash was truly upset, destroying things left and right. But now, it seems he's calmed down."

Liz laughed, "Indeed, it seems there's a remedy for everything."
