Chapter 137 The Unexpected Father

Eula turned her head at this and, to her astonishment, saw Judson.
She froze – her previous declaration had been a hasty attempt to silence Kristina.
Had he heard her? Why had he come directly over?

Eula panicked, her mind a blank. She didn't know what to do next.

Everyone by the pool was stunned by the arrival of the real, living, breathing Judson.
He looked disheveled, yet undeniably attractive with smoky eyes and a cigarette in his lips—a picture of bad-boy charm.
The women were stunned by his good looks, while the men found his presence equally astonishing. They wanted to step forward and make his acquaintance, yet none dared to approach.

Even Kristina was frozen in place. She had just declared her intent to marry him, and now here he was. But the person he had called out for wasn't her; it was Eula.

What was she supposed to do now?

A wave of fear washed over Kristina. Her marriage to Judson was a sham, all for show. She prayed he wouldn't expose the truth.

Judson took another drag of his cigarette and called out, "Eula, come on out and follow me."

Eula didn't want to go, but Johnson Emma, who knew she was his secretary, tugged at her. Turning to Judson, she introduced herself.

"Hello Judson, I'm Johnson Emma from the marketing department of the Gold Star Mall."

He glanced at her and merely said, "Hello!"

Johnson Emma nearly fainted— the big boss had actually greeted her!

She was already dreaming of bragging about this at work the day after tomorrow.

Judson's command had pushed Eula to his feet, and she managed a forced smile.

"…Judson."

"Come out, our daughter's crying. She's asking for you."

Eula quickly scrambled up, threw on her robe, and hurried after him toward the number 6 villa.

It wasn't until the two of them had disappeared that everyone else came back to their senses.

Ethan stood up, donned his robe, and walked off, with Hank Johnson trailing behind.

"Ethan, what's up with you? Play a little longer, will you?"

People around were regaining composure, now turning their attention to Kristina.

Someone asked, "Kristina, did Eula really have Judson's child?"

"Aren't you his fiancée?"

"Seems like your family's got quite the drama."

Rooted to the spot, it took a moment for Kristina to scan the crowd.

"Just wait and see who marries Judson next month," she shot back.

...

Eula followed Judson to the number 6 villa, where inside the gate she saw various ponds and a children's play pool, with three kids having the time of their lives.

Standing there, Eula was perplexed. "Judson, Angie isn't crying, is she?"

The children saw their mom and waved.

"Mommy, come play with us!"

Judson extinguished his cigarette to the ground, pressing it firmly with his shoe, and addressed the kids.

"Keep playing; I need to talk to her."

He made sure Myles and the security guard by the children's pool were paying attention. "Keep an eye on them, make sure they're safe."

Then, turning, he grabbed Eula's hand and led her into a guest room on the ground floor, his long leg kicking the door shut behind them.
The warm air conditioning dispelled the chill that clung to her swimsuit. The cold was now just an outsider, glimpsed in puffs of breath that fogged the windows.

Judson approached her step by step, reaching out to untie the sash of her robe. With a swift pull, the fabric parted, revealing the sea-blue swimsuit and the alluring curves beneath.
