Chapter 361 Smart Kid

Geoffrey just sat there, not saying a word. Eula could feel the tension in the air, so she tried to break it. "Geoffrey, it's getting late. I should head back; the three kids are still at home!"

Geoffrey, who adored those kids, nodded. "Yeah, go ahead."

Eula glanced at Shirley, who looked all gloomy and down.

Eula didn't want things to be this way, just like she didn't want any drama between her and Dewitt and Rodolfo when they grew up. It would bum her out too.

As a mom, she totally got where Shirley was coming from.

"Shirley, I'm heading out."

Before she left, she whispered to Geoffrey, "Talk to Shirley, don't leave things like this."

Then she grabbed her bag and left. Shirley immediately asked, "What did she say to you? Bet she was badmouthing me."

Geoffrey sighed, "Mom, why don't you like Eula? She's from a good family too. It's just her dad got taken away by some homewrecker, making her life tough."

"Hmph, I don't care who she is. I don't like her having kids out of wedlock," Shirley snapped, and Geoffrey didn't bother arguing.

"Mom, you should go. I need to rest." With that, he lay down, pulled up the covers, and shut his eyes.

Shirley wanted to stay longer, worried about Geoffrey and saddened by his situation. Although they had been contacting doctors, and many doctors from abroad flew in to examine him, they couldn't find the cause of his illness.

She was worried, but seeing he wanted to sleep, she got up. "Geoffrey, rest well. I'll come see you tomorrow."

Geoffrey didn't respond. Shirley stood by the bed for a bit, then finally left.

Eula drove back to Starry Villa and saw Judson building Legos with her two sons as soon as she walked in.

Dewitt glanced at him occasionally but didn't say anything. It seemed like the kids had accepted Judson's smarts; otherwise, they wouldn't let him join in.

Angie was leaning against Judson, blinking her big eyes, holding the Barbie she got today. "Come on, guys! Uncle Judson is almost done."

Eula got it. They weren't just building Legos; they were competing. No wonder it was so chill.

Mary saw her come in and whispered, "Eula, the kids are super happy today. Mr. Nash will be a good father."

Eula changed her shoes and nodded slightly. "Yeah."

Then she walked to the living room and sat next to Judson. "What are you guys up to?"

The focused group all looked up at her, their eyes lighting up with joy.

Angie asked, "Eula, where did you go? My brothers and Uncle Judson are having a competition!"

Eula was caught off guard and tried to change the subject. "Well, who do you think will win?"

Dewitt and Rodolfo sped up, one reading the instructions and the other finding the pieces, working like a well-oiled machine.

Judson's eyes were glued to the instructions, quickly finding the pieces and moving fast.

Angie got distracted by Eula's question. "Uncle Judson, go for it!"

She actually wanted to cheer for him as "Daddy," but she held back, afraid Eula would scold her. But she knew she'd call him Daddy sooner or later.

Dewitt spoke up, glancing at Judson. "Mom, did you go to the hospital to see Uncle Geoffrey?"

Rodolfo asked, "How is he now?"

Eula's face changed, wanting to stop them, but it was too late. Her lie was out in the open.
