Chapter 218 They're Here
Eula couldn't help but smile when she heard her daughter's words.
"Alright, I'll definitely stab him."
Hubert was scared to the point of sweating profusely, his expression contorted.
Breathing heavily, Hubert kept his eyes fixed on the needle, afraid it might touch him.
Eula and Angie were really something else; in this situation, they were still discussing stabbing him.
A hint of fierceness flashed in Hubert's eyes; someone like him had been through too much.
He could handle scenes scarier than this; he wouldn't be afraid of this small situation today.
A sly smile crossed Hubert's lips; whether he could escape or not, time would tell.
After the door was locked, those inside the room couldn't come out. Eula felt much safer. Now, all they needed to do was get downstairs and into the car.
She would knock Hubert down, then escape back home, and then move out.
Eula had everything planned out.
"Let's go," Eula said coldly, pushing Hubert in front of her.
Hubert took a step, and the three of them awkwardly descended the stairs.
Eula turned to look at Angie and cautioned her.
"Sweetie, be careful, don't fall."
Now she didn't have to hold onto Eula anymore; Angie carefully made her way downstairs.
When they reached the third floor, the path was dark without any lights.
Afraid, Angie moved closer to her. "Eula, it's so dark."
Children were always afraid of the dark, especially little girls who were more averse to it.
Eula pursed her lips, wanting to hold Angie's hand to make her feel safe.
But she had to control the man in front of her now; otherwise, it would be difficult for them to leave.
Angie screamed, "Ah!"
Angie stepped into nothingness, tumbling down, which terrified Eula. She let go of Hubert and called out Angie's name.
"Angie! Angie!"
At this moment, Eula felt desperate; it didn't matter if they could escape or not, as long as Angie was okay.
Eula took out her phone and turned on the flashlight, running down the stairs towards where Angie lay, blood trickling from her forehead.
Eula was half scared to death as she half lifted Angie.
"Angie! Angie!"
But Angie didn't respond; Hubert pulled out a gun and aimed it at her head.
"Since you dare to kidnap me, you'll all pay the price," Hubert said sinisterly.
Eula called out to Angie, but the little girl didn't respond. Tears streamed down Eula's face.
She didn't even hear what Hubert said.
Eula suddenly looked up. "Angie, I'll take you to the hospital."
She tried to carry Angie and leave, but Hubert grabbed her.
"No, you can't go," he said.
Then he dragged them upstairs, blood dripping down. Eula was on the verge of madness.
"I need to take Angie to the hospital, she's injured, please," Eula pleaded.
But Hubert didn't care; human life meant nothing to him. All he wanted was money.
Once the debt was settled, he would leave; he didn't care about anything else.
"It's useless to beg me; go upstairs."
Hubert dragged her forcefully, and Eula's eyes were filled with despair. She blamed herself for what happened to Angie, her heart ached terribly, and she trembled with anger.
Outside the dilapidated residential building, several cars stopped. In Judson's car, two young boys with computers were present. Rodolfo said, "Dewitt, Angie's location is here, as is Eula's."
Judson glanced at them indifferently; these two boys were faster than the police. He narrowed his eyes slightly.
"Send me the address; I'll go up and rescue them immediately."
Dewitt sent the address to Judson, who promptly forwarded it to his subordinates.
Judson: [Quickly go up and rescue Mrs. Lowe and Angie.]
After sending the message, he opened the door and got out of the car, with Dewitt and Rodolfo following suit.
These three men were worried about Eula and Angie, so they had to go up personally.
The three of them hurried towards the old building and saw Eula, covered in blood, running down, holding a bloodied Angie in her arms.
