Chapter 81 Status

Eula sighed. It was clear that she was upset about being turned down.

At this time, she received another message.

“You’ll still get paid.”

Eula rolled her eyes, thinking that she would not have complained even if Judson had not sent that message.
...

In the week that followed, Eula went to work every day, but Judson was nowhere to be seen. For this reason, she was rather idle.

She would glance at his desk occasionally. When he was not around, the office was extremely quiet. After all, she had the CEO’s office all to herself.

At this time, Eula’s phone suddenly rang. It was Judson.

"Judson?"

Eula had not seen him for a week, nor had she heard from him until today. If it were not for the fact that she was sitting in his office every day, she would have thought that everything was just a dream. It seemed like if he did not want to see her, she would not be able to see him.

"Follow the driver to the airport to pick me up."

With that, Judson ended the call. He was as curt as ever.

Eula rose to her feet. She grabbed her bag and made her way to the underground parking space.

The driver was already waiting by the car. As soon as he saw Eula, he quickly put out his cigarette and greeted her.

“Miss Lowe.”

Eula responded with a nod before she said, “We’re going to pick the president up at the airport.”

With that, the driver got into the car and drove to the airport.

At the airport terminal.

Eula waited for twenty minutes before Judson appeared with a group of people. He stood in front. He was dressed in black, and he wore a cold expression on his face as he walked briskly.

Several of Judson’s employees trailed after him, making it clear that he had been on a business trip the entire week.

‘No wonder he had been out of touch...’

Eula waved her hand as she called out, "Judson, over here!"

At the exact same time, Kristina rushed toward Judson.

“Judson, you’re back!” Kristina exclaimed as she held Judson’s arm and followed the group of people out.

Eula lowered her hand, letting it dangle at her side. At the same time, she berated herself for her foolishness. Judson was engaged, and she was merely his secretary. How could she compare to his fiancée? She had behaved presumptuously, thinking that she would be able to brighten his days by picking him up at the airport.

Meanwhile, when Judson walked past Eula, he looked at her with a cursory glance as he asked, “Miss Lowe, did you bring the things I asked for?”

Eula hurriedly caught up with the group. She glanced at the desserts in her hands before she replied, “Yes.”

Eula thought Judson might be hungry, so she had deliberately chosen his favorite when she bought them earlier.

After walking out of the airport, Judson and Kristina got into the back of the car while Eula took the passenger seat.

As the car pulled away, Kristina laughed from the backseat. It was grating and loud. She leaned her head on Judson‘s shoulder before she said, “Judson, I missed you so much this past week. Can I stay over tonight?”

As Kristina spoke, she looked at the rearview mirror, meeting Eula’s eyes.

Meanwhile, Judson leaned back on the seat, seemingly exhausted as he gazed out of the window. Then, as though he had just recalled something, he suddenly said, “Miss Lowe, please pass the desserts to Kristina. She’s the one who wanted them.”

Eula tightened her grip on the box of desserts. She felt reluctant to hand it over because she had bought it for Judson.

At this time, Kristina said cheerily, “Eula, hurry up. Pass them to me!”

Kristina was in high spirits today. She had received a call from Judson today regarding their arrangement, and she had hurried over to the airport after that. When she arrived, she noticed a few people with cameras, and she thought that they were likely reporters. She knew that they would make the news tomorrow. It seemed like Judson was finally going to tell the world that she was his fiancée. With this, everyone was going to envy her.
