Chapter 364 How Could I Run into Him?

He was half-leaning against the headboard, his head pounding so hard he couldn't think straight, let alone stay calm.

His handsome brows were furrowed, and his voice came out low and raspy.

"Judson, this is normal. The bullet's still in there. Pain's expected. If it eases after you get up, no worries. If not, get to the hospital ASAP," Hugo said, clearly worried.

If Judson's condition wasn't good, even if he made it to the hospital quickly, they still couldn't perform surgery. He sighed, knowing he had to find a way to treat him fast.

After hanging up, Judson closed his eyes for a bit to rest.

Once the headache eased up, he got up to wash. Heading downstairs, he saw food on the dining table and a note: [Judson, I made you breakfast. It's in the breakfast machine. Remember to eat more! Eula.]

Judson glanced at the breakfast on the table, all his favorites, and then looked at the breakfast machine on the counter. A slight smile crossed his lips.

He knew Eula was trying to cheer him up, but why didn't she wait to eat with him?

He dialed her number, but Eula didn't hear it. She was rushing through the hospital lobby.

The lobby was packed, bustling with people, so she didn't hear her phone ringing in her bag.

She squeezed into the elevator with the crowd. By the time she reached Geoffrey's ward, she was already sweating.

When she stayed at the hospital with Judson before, it was never this crowded.

Back then, Myles and Winnien were there, along with the Nash family's servants, so she didn't need to run around. She just needed to stay by Judson's side and take care of him.

Geoffrey was already awake, staring out the window. When he heard her footsteps, he asked, "Who is it?"

He could already see light. Although he couldn't see completely, it wasn't total darkness anymore, and he was in a good mood.

He didn't expect Eula to come so early.

So, in a panic, he quickly adjusted his gaze, staring straight ahead with a hollow, lifeless look in his eyes.

"Geoffrey, it's me. I made you breakfast." Her voice came with a smile. Geoffrey could already see her out of the corner of his eye. She looked really pretty today.

She had makeup on, and her lipstick shade is really nice; it looks just like a carrot, making her already fair face look even better.

Suddenly, a flash of brightness crossed his mind. His eyes had improved so much. He could see her clearly.

Realizing this, a slight smile appeared on his lips.

Eula helped him sit up. Seeing the smile on his face, she also smiled, feeling that this was the Geoffrey she knew. "I'll help you wash up."

Geoffrey's large hand held her waist, which was so slender, and felt very good.

Eula felt uncomfortable being so close to him, her whole body uneasy.

She now realized that she couldn't accept all men. She had never been close to other men before.

In fact, the incident six years ago had left a shadow in her heart. Just like now, she felt extremely uncomfortable.

It turned out that only Judson could make her relax and accept.

Thinking of this, she took a step forward, distancing herself from Geoffrey.

"I'll hold your hand," she said, easing the awkwardness of moving away from him.

Geoffrey was initially stunned, feeling inexplicably unhappy, but hearing her words and feeling his hand held by her soft little hand, the unhappiness disappeared.

Eula helped him brush his teeth and wash his face. Since she had never helped anyone like this before, it took almost twenty minutes for him to finish washing up.

Supporting him out of the bathroom and back to the bed, doctors and nurses came in for rounds.

Hugo was among them. He was the director of the hospital, and Geoffrey was a VIP patient, so he personally came to check on him.
