Chapter 103 What happened?
"What promise?" Ryder was startled, but then he suddenly realized and said, "You said that if we overcome this difficult situation and win the bid, you'll let me move into your room, right?"
"Mmm..." Sarah gave a mosquito-like response.
Ryder was so excited that he almost knocked the foot basin over.
"I definitely remember! I'll move in once I finish washing your stockings," he said. Then he quickly rushed into the bathroom. Sitting on the bed, Sarah touched her flushed cheek. Surprisingly, she felt a bit feverish. She muttered to herself, "Oh, I must have had a bit too much to drink."
Five minutes later, Ryder returned to Sarah's bedroom with an expectant smile and said, "Honey, it's all settled!" He walked toward the bed. Sarah quickly retreated, clutching the blanket, and asked cautiously, "What are you doing?"
"Going to bed, of course! Didn't you ask me to come in?" Ryder replied. Sarah glared at him and said, "When I asked you to come in, I meant you would sleep on the floor, not on the same bed as me. What were you thinking?"
"Oh? So you meant sleeping on the floor..." Ryder couldn't hide his disappointment. He was so eager to enter the room that he accidentally made a hole in her stockings while washing them. Seeing his expression, Sarah sneered, "It seems like you don't want to sleep on the floor. Fine, go back to your own room then!"
"No, no, no! Sleeping on the floor is perfectly fine. I like sleeping on the floor!" Ryder said hurriedly. He realized that everything must be done step by step. He shouldn't be too impatient!
He moved all his bedding to Sarah's room. He laid it on the floor and crawled into the blankets. "Is this okay?" he asked.
"Hmph! It's close enough! But let me warn you, if you dare to cross any lines while I'm asleep, you'll regret it!" Sarah threatened.
"Don't worry, I'm not that kind of person. It's getting late now, and you have the inauguration ceremony tomorrow. You should sleep now." Ryder assured her.
"Alright, but before we sleep, there's one thing I want to ask you. Do you know the mysterious person who bought the Smith Group and gifted it to me?"
"How would I know? Forget about it. Focus on managing your company properly. Stop wasting brain cells on unnecessary thoughts!"
"But I feel uneasy, and recently I've noticed that you've been keeping things from me. Is there something...?" Ryder's snores had already started.
"Hey, are you even listening to me?" Sarah rolled her eyes helplessly and switched off the lights to sleep. Ryder, lying on the floor, secretly breathed a sigh of relief. It seems he needs to be more discreet from now on, or he'll eventually be exposed in front of Sarah.

The next morning, after having breakfast, they headed to the Smith Group.

The words "Welcome, Mrs. Johnson!" were written on them.
But Ryder's eyes were immediately drawn to someone walking at the front of the crowd.
It was Klay, the marketing manager of the Smith Group!
However, the Klay he saw today looked quite different from last night.
