Chapter 665 Ernest's Screams!
"Huh, I'll touch her right now! What are you gonna do about it?"
Ernest's face twisted with contempt as he deliberately sidestepped Ryder and walked straight toward Sarah. He reached out to grab her shoulder, his eyes filled with defiance and lust. He completely ignored Ryder's warning.
But just as his fingers were about to touch Sarah—
CRACK!
A sharp, sickening sound of breaking bone, followed by Ernest's blood-curdling scream, echoed throughout the delivery station!
"AAAHHHH!"
Nobody even saw how Ryder had moved. All they witnessed was Ernest's good arm now twisted at an impossible angle as he was thrown backward by some tremendous force. He crashed to the ground, clutching his broken limb and writhing in agony.
One move. Just one move. And the Silver Wolf Gang's second-in-command was finished.
A deathly silence fell over the scene. Everyone was frozen in shock. The Silver Wolf Gang members stood paralyzed with terror, momentarily forgetting to rush forward.
"Ernest?" Calista was so terrified she could barely speak, pointing shakily at Ryder. "Ryder... your... your strength..."
Ryder didn't even glance her way. He turned directly to Sarah, his expression instantly softening. "Sarah, are you okay?"
Sarah shook her head, staring at him with equal shock. "Ryder, your hand...?"
"Don't worry, it's fine," Ryder reassured her, gently ruffling her hair.
"That's not what I meant," Sarah's voice was filled with concern and confusion. "Your injuries haven't healed yet, how did you—"
"I didn't want to get physical, but they dared to set their sights on you. As your husband, I had to teach them a lesson." Ryder stated matter-of-factly, then added, "And don't worry, I've already called for backup."
Hearing this, Sarah's cheeks flushed slightly, a warm feeling spreading through her chest.
While they were having their tender moment, Calista was screaming hysterically on the other side: "Ryder! You attacked Ernest! Do you have a death wish?!"
She scrambled over to Ernest's side, desperately trying to distance herself from the situation. "Are you okay, Ernest? This was all Ryder's doing, it has nothing to do with our delivery station! Please don't take it out on us!"
"Get lost!" Ernest, now being supported by his men, red-eyed with rage, kicked Calista's plump body with all his might.
Calista let out a pained cry as she fell flat on her back.
"I'm not just going to kill Ryder!" Ernest snarled, his face contorted with fury. "I'm going to tear this damn delivery station apart! And as for you women—none of you are getting away!"
Hearing this, Calista's hefty body trembled violently. She stared in horror at the menacing men before her, completely breaking down. "No... you can't do this! I'm not even married yet... Ryder, you bastard, you've gotten me killed!"
But no one was paying attention to her wailing anymore. All eyes were focused on Ryder and Ernest.
"Get him! Kill that son of a bitch!" Ernest commanded with what little rationality he had left. "Break him! Shatter every bone in his body! But don't touch the woman—I want to fuck his wife right in front of him!"
He could feel it—his last good arm was ruined, and his life was over. If that was the case, he'd at least drag someone down with him and taste this perfect woman before he went.
"Yes, Ernest!" Over a dozen men instantly bared their teeth, brandishing steel pipes as they surrounded Ryder and Sarah.
Sarah instinctively clutched Ryder's arm, worried not for herself but for his injuries. "Please stop fighting. Your wounds—"
Ryder shook his head, a cold smile playing on his lips. "Sarah, look—our people are here."
As soon as he finished speaking, the screech of brakes pierced the air! A large passenger van executed a perfect drift, stopping precisely at the entrance of the delivery station. The doors burst open.
In a fluid motion, more than twenty muscular men in black security uniforms poured out, wielding riot batons. Their movements were synchronized as they instantly surrounded the thugs, reversing the encirclement.
Right behind them, a distinguished middle-aged man in an impeccable suit stepped down from the van. It was none other than Eli—the owner of Passion Logistics Management Company and a board member of Maple Group!
"Who dares cause trouble on Passion Logistics Management Company property!" Eli's thunderous voice boomed.
When Calista saw who had arrived, her heart jumped, then flooded with relief. A savior had come! She immediately scrambled to her feet and rushed to Eli's side, pointing at Ryder.
"Mr. Baker! You're just in time! This is all Ryder's fault! He provoked these people and caused this trouble—you need to fire him right away!"
But what happened next nearly made Calista's eyes pop out of her head.
Eli completely ignored her. Instead, he jogged straight to Ryder, his face showing a mixture of respect and concern as he extended his hand: "Mr. Clark, are you alright? Are you hurt? I came as soon as I got your message!"
Ryder shook his hand and nodded coolly. "Not too late. Just in time."
Only then did Eli let out a deep breath. "Good! That's good!"
Calista stood frozen in disbelief. She stared at the scene before her, her mind completely blank.
Who the hell was this Ryder guy? Why was even Eli treating him with such respect? This was clearly on a completely different level from Zane's high-level employee status!
