Chapter 123 Security Company Opening!
That night, at the Johnson family's old mansion, Grandpa Johnson leaned back in a chair, eyes closed, pretending to doze off.
Ever since he had learned that the Windsor family had actively sought an alliance with them, the heavy stone in his heart lifted, allowing him to leave the hospital and return home.
An impromptu family meeting was called.
In front of Grandpa Johnson, the core descendants of the Johnson family stood respectfully.
Matthew reported the recent situation of the SR Group to Grandpa Johnson, especially emphasizing Aaron becoming the new General Manager of the Marketing Department.
Grandpa Johnson opened his somewhat clouded eyes and let out a cold snort. "Even useless people like Aaron can become the General Manager of the Marketing Department. I wonder what Sarah is thinking!"
Abigail frowned and said, "Sarah, the bitch, obtained the Smith Group through improper means. Of course, she's worried that she won't be able to convince others based on her own abilities, so she arranged her trusted people there!"
Lawrence smirked and spoke, "But this gives us a great opportunity. With Aaron as the General Manager of the Marketing Department, why would we worry about finding a breakthrough with the SR Group? As long as we set up a few traps, that idiot will fall into them, and we can destroy the entire SR Group!"
Grandpa Johnson nodded in satisfaction. "You're right! I'll leave this matter to you personally. Don't forget to inform the Windsor family and let them handle any difficulties directly!"
Lawrence's face lit up, nodding repeatedly.
Grandpa Johnson then turned to Abigail. "Abigail, there's something I need you to take care of!"
Abigail took a few steps forward, revealing a very eager expression.
Grandpa was being very kind to her. "Grandpa, please go on!"
Ever since Andy got detained, Abigail had been in a state of excitement.
The reason was simple: Grandpa used to favor Andy, entrusting him with all important matters, while she was left to do the menial tasks.
But things had changed now. Andy's detainment had brought disgrace to the Johnson family, and Grandpa Johnson was extremely dissatisfied. As a result, he started investing more in her development. Therefore, Abigail knew very well that during this period, she had to do her best to leave a deeper and more positive impression on Grandpa. Then, even if Andy was released, he would not be a rival for her in the fight for the Johnson family's assets.
Grandpa Johnson spoke seriously, "Tomorrow, in Houston, there is an important event. It is the opening of a security company founded by George. There will be a banquet to celebrate, and many influential people from Houston will be attending. I've managed to secure an invitation for our family. Choose some valuable gifts and represent the Johnson family tomorrow!"
Actually, Grandpa Johnson had wanted to attend in person, but he had just been discharged from the hospital and his body couldn't handle the exertion.
"Grandpa, don't worry, I will definitely not bring shame to our family!" Abigail excitedly replied.
As for the other younger members of the Johnson family, they were a bit unhappy, feeling jealous. George was very famous in Houston, especially lately, as he had managed to unify several forces and was gaining a lot of attention. Who wouldn't want to make his acquaintance? Unfortunately, all these opportunities belonged to Abigail. They could only stare in envy.
Grandpa Johnson nodded approvingly, "I heard that George is still single. Abigail, you're not young anymore. If you have a chance to make him a son-in-law of the Johnson family, you will have accomplished a great feat!"
A confident and proud expression appeared on Abigail's face as she said, "No matter how capable George is, he's still just a man. I have my ways of dealing with men. Just wait for good news..."
Early the next morning , in the SR Group General Manager's office, Sarah pushed open the office door and found Aaron hunched over the desk playing a game on his phone. When he saw Sarah enter, Aaron quickly exited the game.
Hurriedly, he questioned, "How did you get in? I was just chatting with a client, not doing anything else! Haha!"
Sarah, not expecting Aaron to take his role as general manager seriously, didn't pursue the matter. She simply said, "I came to tell you that you have been assigned a task!"
"What task? I promise to handle it properly!" Aaron said confidently.
"George's security company is opening today, and you will represent our company at the celebration. How does that sound?"
"Why don't you go?"
"I have a lot of meetings today and no time. I'm counting on you!"
Aaron flipped his hair and revealed what he thought was a handsome expression. "To entrust me with such an important task shows your trust in me. Don't worry, I will handle it perfectly, no problem!"
Sarah nodded and reminded him, "When you get there, maintain a proper demeanor and avoid causing any trouble!"
Aaron grew a bit impatient and said, "I am already in my twenties; I understand this much. Don't nag like my mom all the time! By the way, is the gift ready?"
"It's been prepared for a while. Secretary Yves will go with you! Just a reminder, Yves is a good girl. She always speaks and acts cautiously. If I hear any negative feedback, even if mom helps you, as your older sister, I won't go easy on you. Got it?"
Seeing Sarah's serious expression, Aaron reluctantly nodded, "I got it!"
After speaking, he lowered his head and quickly walked out of the office.
Sarah let out a sigh. "I really don't know when he will grow up."
At 10:30 in the morning, Ryder rode his electric scooter to George's newly established security company.
Ryder didn't intend to go join in the fun. Although he was an investor in the security company, he didn't want to be involved in the management.
He left everything to George, and there was nothing he couldn't trust him with!
But George insisted that he come.
Even if he didn't go for the ribbon-cutting ceremony or give a speech, he could at least have a meal!
With things reaching this point, Ryder couldn't refuse, so he agreed to go!
The security company was named Boss Security.
The company was conveniently located across from The Pint House.
It was a five-story office building, and the company already had over fifty formal security personnel.
Of course, there were also quite a few inexperienced and younger people applying for jobs.
After a successful application, they would need some training to become formal security personnel!
According to George's conservative estimate, three months down the line, the company would have at least two hundred contracted security personnel.
The business included renting private bodyguards, security for entertainment venues, and valuable item escorts, among others.
In short, the prospects were good.
It would become one of the biggest driving forces for Ryder's influence in Houston!
Soon, Ryder arrived at the entrance of Boss Security.
Just as he parked his car, a disdainful voice came from behind, "Why is our family servant here?"
