Chapter 334 One vs. Ten

Kenneth was a pro at swaying public opinion.

As soon as he spoke, the crowd who lost their bets quickly agreed.

"Yeah, Mr. Davis is right. I knew something was off about this match. It was rigged!"

"If it was rigged, why should we accept our losses? No way!"

"Refund! Refund! I'm never coming back to this fight club. This is a scam!"

"You heartless jerks, you deserve to rot!"

The chaos caught George off guard.

He was worried Kenneth might not honor the bet, but he didn't expect Kenneth to say this in front of everyone!

Wasn't he afraid of making enemies?

The most shocked was Ronald!

This underground fight club was Ronald's, and he prided himself on its fairness. Now, Kenneth was slandering him without any proof, and he couldn't stand it!

Plus, the total bets for this match were close to $300 million!

With the usual commission, the net profit for one night would be nearly $30 million!

Kenneth's disruption could ruin everything!

Thinking of this, Ronald's face turned pale, and he shouted at Kenneth, "Kenneth, what are you talking about? When did I ever team up with George? Don't slander me!"

Kenneth took a puff of his cigar, his face cold. "You know if I'm slandering you or not. Let me ask you this, weren't my three fighters chosen by you? Didn't you assure me they'd definitely win? But look at the result! An impossible outcome happened, and I suspect someone threw the match!"

Ronald was furious but couldn't think of a comeback.

Half of what Kenneth said was true.

Ronald did find the fighters for Kenneth!

But he couldn't admit that.

If he did, George would definitely suspect him of conspiring with Kenneth to set him up!

Ronald's business thrived on maintaining a facade of neutrality. While he might maneuver behind the scenes, he had to project a friendly, untroubled image publicly. If it became known that he was targeting George, it could spell trouble for him.

Plus, George had significant influence in Houston. He and Kenneth had no business ties, so offending Kenneth was no big deal, but offending George could have serious consequences.

Even so, Ronald seized on a key point and yelled at Kenneth, "Kenneth, you say someone threw the match. Do you dare to say who?"

Kenneth snorted and pointed to Jeffrey, who was being placed on a stretcher in the ring. "I suspect he threw the fight!"

As soon as he said that, the crowd who lost their bets chimed in,

"That's right! Jeffrey must have done it on purpose. No way he's that weak!"

"I think Jeffrey is definitely up to no good. I thought he would win since he had good results in state competitions, but he's just a fraud!"

"Exactly! Rex just looks tough. I could take him down myself. How could Jeffrey not beat him?"

The crowd's doubts hit Jeffrey hard, almost making him spit blood.

He thought, 'You all talk big. If you have the guts, come up here and fight him! I didn't throw the match; I genuinely couldn't win!'

But no matter what Jeffrey said, the audience wouldn't believe him.

In the end, he had to be carried out on a stretcher.

As Kenneth’s reckless accusations stirred the situation further, Ronald was drenched in sweat. “Kenneth, what exactly do you want?”

Kenneth glanced at Rex in the ring, a flash of malice in his eyes. “I want someone else to challenge Rex. If Rex wins again, I’ll concede that the match was fair.”

Ronald, visibly troubled, turned to George.

After all, George had to agree to this!

But George couldn't make up his mind either.

Rex had just fought a tough match and might not be in the best condition to face another opponent.

At that moment, Rex raised his hand from the ring and shouted, "George, I can still fight!"

There was a hint of eagerness in his voice.

Seeing Rex's serious expression, George nodded and said to Kenneth, "Mr. Davis, Rex can still fight. But who are you sending in?"

Kenneth glanced around and suddenly fixed his gaze on Daniel!

That look almost scared the soul out of Daniel!

He had just been beaten half to death by Rex a few days ago and was still terrified.

After a few seconds, Kenneth smiled faintly. "Here's the thing, I don't have any qualified fighters with me. I only brought five guys. If Jeffrey didn't throw the match, then let them go up against Rex together. Is that okay?"

This statement left Ronald and George both surprised!

They didn't expect Kenneth to calmly propose such a shameless condition!

The key point was that many people supported this condition.

"Mr. Davis's suggestion is good! If Rex is really that strong, fighting five people should be easy!"

"If he doesn't dare to fight or loses, it means Jeffrey threw the match!"

"I bet they won't accept this condition!"

"If they don't accept, it means they're guilty!"

At this moment, the public opinion was clearly in Kenneth's favor, making George's expression very serious.

A lone tiger could hardly withstand a pack of wolves!

Fighting one-on-one and fighting a group were two different things!

When fighting multiple opponents, one's attention was divided.

Any slip-up could lead to being surrounded and overwhelmed, especially in a confined space where the side with more people had the advantage!

In George's view, the threat posed by these five men might be even greater than Jeffrey!

While George hesitated, Rex's voice rang out again, "George, I'm fine! It's just five..."

Kenneth sneered, "What's the matter? Are you scared that five might be too much? Are you afraid you'll lose and expose your scheme?"

Rex shook his head and then responded earnestly, "I can handle ten! Your five guys aren't enough!"

A hush fell over the crowd.
