Chapter 667 Zane's Ferocious Expression!

Calista collapsed to the floor, unconscious.

With a disgusted wave of his hand, Eli signaled two security guards who immediately dragged her out. Under the combined pressure of power and legal threats, she'd already sold out Zane's kickback scheme completely to save her own skin.

Peace finally returned to the courier station office.

"Mr. Baker, you shouldn't feel responsible for people like her," Ryder said, refilling Eli's juice. "Here, drink up."

Eli clinked glasses with him and sighed. "Thanks for understanding, Mr. Clark. I promise Passion Logistics won't harbor parasites like that again."

Ryder's expression turned serious. "Couriers and delivery stations are the foundation of our logistics system. If the foundation isn't stable, everything collapses. This incident exposed a serious problem—the entire ground operation has chaotic processes and unclear responsibilities. We need thorough reform, and we need it now."

Eli nodded emphatically. "You've hit the nail on the head. Speaking of which, now that Calista's been fired, why don't you take over as the station's management coordinator?"

Ryder froze at these words.

"Your wife specifically asked me about this before she left!" Eli quickly explained, noticing Ryder's expression. "She was worried about you delivering packages. Plus, starting from a ground-level management position will help you experience the process issues firsthand. When the time comes, I'd love your insights—give this general manager a real grassroots investigation report!"

He winked half-jokingly, though his tone remained completely sincere.

Ryder raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Seems like you've got my whole visit mapped out already."

"Haha, it's all for the company's development!"

"Fine, I'll follow your lead," Ryder agreed readily.

"Great! I won't take up more of your time. There's still someone at headquarters waiting for me to deal with." Eli stood up, a flash of severity crossing his eyes.

"Thanks for handling this," Ryder nodded as he saw him off.

Eli departed with his entourage of twenty security guards.

Meanwhile, in a high-end club's sauna room in Aurora City, steam filled the air as Zane, shirtless, enjoyed a massage from two technicians. His phone suddenly rang, and seeing "Eli" on the caller ID, he immediately signaled the technicians to be quiet and answered with his most fawning tone.

"Mr. Baker! What an honor! What can I do for you?"

"Where are you?" Eli's voice was ice-cold. "Why aren't you at the office?"

"I'm meeting with a major client right now!" Zane lied smoothly. "Sorry about that—I was so focused on creating business opportunities that I forgot to report my absence."

"Is that so?" Eli's tone revealed nothing.

"Of course! Don't you trust my capability?" Zane felt uneasy, sensing something off about Eli today.

The next second, the words through the phone sent chills down his spine.

"Zane, forget about your 'business opportunity.' Effective immediately, the company is terminating your employment contract. You're on your own."

"What? Why?" Zane bolted upright. "What did I do wrong? Why are you firing me?"

"You abused your position to embezzle company funds and line your own pockets. Isn't that enough?" Eli's voice suddenly turned harsh. "I've established a special financial investigation team that will trace every cent you've stolen!"

Zane's mind went blank as cold sweat broke out across his forehead. Only Calista and Ryder knew about this!

"Did Calista tell you?" he asked through gritted teeth.

"She's been fired too," Eli snorted. "Let me warn you—if you don't return every penny you've taken, the company will file a lawsuit directly!"

"Then it was Ryder! That backstabbing snake!" Zane immediately put it together. "I was kind enough to help him, and he betrays me to climb the ladder! Shameless bastard!"

"You have the nerve to talk about others?" Eli's anger ignited. "Come back immediately to complete the termination paperwork and return the stolen funds! Otherwise, prepare for prison!"

The call ended with a sharp click.

Zane clutched his phone, his face ashen. The technician beside him carefully placed her hand on his back and asked in a sweet voice, "Mr. Martin, is this pressure okay...?"

"GET OUT!" Zane kicked violently, howling like a madman. "ALL OF YOU, GET OUT!"

The terrified technicians scrambled out of the room, leaving Zane alone. The muscles on his face twisted as his eyes gradually turned vicious and cold.

"Ryder... you dare ruin me? I'll make you regret ever being born!"

---

Back at the courier station, Ryder sneezed unexpectedly.

Several colleagues immediately swarmed around him, offering tissues.

"Here, wipe your nose!"

"Use mine—it's clean!"

Seeing their eagerness, Ryder waved them off. "Am I that disgusting to you all? I don't even have a runny nose."

Everyone paused before bursting into laughter, instantly lightening the mood.

Ryder seized the moment. "Look, Baker made me the management coordinator, but I'm still your old colleague. Calista's bureaucratic BS won't fly with me. Just focus on doing your jobs well and don't overthink things."

"Got it!"

"Whatever you say, boss!"

His colleagues agreed verbally, but they knew the score. Ryder was now the station head with strong connections to the company CEO—his future was bright, and sucking up was inevitable.

After everyone dispersed, Ryder returned to the office and began sorting through the mess Calista had left behind. During a break, he remembered the Silver Wolf Gang situation, his gaze darkening. In a place as complex as Aurora City, you couldn't move an inch without your own power base.

He took out his phone and dialed George's number.

The call was answered almost instantly. "Ryder! Finally! Does this mean... we can relocate to Aurora City?" George's voice practically vibrated with excitement.

Ryder smiled, easily picturing the excitement on George's scarred, rugged face. "That's exactly what I had in mind. It's time to move the security company's headquarters to Aurora City. Will relocating everyone be a problem?"

"Don't worry!" George's confidence came through clearly. "Most of the guys have no attachments and have been dying to make their mark in a big arena like Aurora City! Just say the word, and we're ready to roll!"

"Good," Ryder said gravely. "Contact me when you reach Aurora City. If you need anything, just ask."

"This is awesome! Working with you on something big again—just thinking about it gets me fired up!"

"Remember," Ryder's tone turned serious, "Aurora City is much more complicated than Houston. Watch your step."

George immediately reined in his excitement. "Understood, boss. Will do."
