Chapter 97 Get Out!
Not long after the Johnson family left, the Windsor Group delegation came downstairs. When the remaining dozen or so ex-employees saw them descending, their eyes immediately lit up. They thought that if the Johnson family couldn't secure the bid, then only the Windsor Group would have succeeded!
This was a great opportunity! They couldn't work for Andy, but working for the Windsor Group wouldn't be bad at all! After all, the Windsor Group had just won the bid, so their mood must be fantastic. It would be effortless to have a few of them join their team.
With this in mind, they immediately crowded around them, offering congratulations to the Windsor Group. They even chanted slogans that were similar to those for the Johnson family, except they replaced "the Johnson family" with "the Windsor family"!
But unexpectedly, the Windsor Group delegation quickly distanced themselves from the enthusiastic employees.
Sarah was surrounded by her astonished team members. They couldn't believe that Sarah had actually won the bid!
The emotions in the room were overwhelming, and some of them couldn't help but shed tears of joy. Over the past few days, they had endured immense pressure and ridicule. They had lost hope even before the bidding meeting began. But now, they have finally made it through.
Sarah was deeply moved by her team's support. She choked with emotion as she expressed her gratitude. "Thank you, everyone! We finally made it through. The sun always shines after the storm, and I believe that from today onward, we will be greeted by sunshine every moment."
Emily and the other team members nodded repeatedly, alternating between tears and smiles.
Meanwhile, a group of ex-employees, including Bailey, watched from a distance, their hearts sinking like they had just eaten something awful. In just three short days, Sarah had managed to turn things around, leaving them all stunned and uncertain about their future.
With the Johnson family abandoning them, finding another job seemed increasingly bleak. As this realization set in, they hurriedly approached Sarah to offer their congratulations.
"Sarah, I always knew you would succeed. You're amazing!"
"It's a huge contract. The company must be shortstaffed. You know I'm efficient and can fill in the gaps!"
"I can do it too!"
Upon hearing this, hot-tempered Bella pushed them away. "Get lost! Have you forgotten what you said in front of Sarah the other day? And now, do you really have the audacity to beg for mercy? Shameless!"
Bailey frowned and sneered, "Who do you think you are? We're talking to Sarah, not you! You've just graduated. What do you know?"
"You..." Bella's anger silenced her for a moment.
Bailey then switched to a flattering expression and said to Sarah, "Sarah, we know we went too far the other day, but think about the years we've dedicated to the company. Even if we haven't achieved much, we have worked hard. Your heart is so kind. Please give us another chance!"
Other ex-employees chimed in:
"That's right, Sarah. Can you bear to see us lose our jobs? Our lives will fall apart!"
"Sarah, as long as you forgive me, I will surely repay you!"
They all pleaded in various ways, and some even shed tears.
This made Sarah furrow her brows.
After all, no matter how angry she was, she still had affection for these people.
Just as she was about to soften and respond, Ryder's mocking laughter rang out. "Too late! Do you know about turning when a car hits a wall? Buying stocks when they rise? Changing when a mistake leads to a conviction?"
He descended the stairs, staring at them with a contemptuous gaze. "Do you remember what I told you the other day? Don't blame me for refusing your plea when you come back. The only thing you can do now is turn around and leave!"
At this point, Ryder exuded an unprecedented dominant aura.
Like a wild beast breaking free from its cage!
Bailey and the others were scared by this forceful presence!
At this moment, she had an unsettling feeling.
Ryder seemed to have known the outcome from the very beginning!
Everyone present was just a pawn on his chessboard!
Even the decision they made the other day predetermined everything that happened today!
As she thought about this, Bailey's scalp went numb!
Who exactly was this man?
Sarah suddenly remembered what Ryder had said to her the other day.
No matter what, she must not let sympathy seep in during their plea.
Otherwise, the scene from the other day would happen again!
Sarah took a deep breath and said coldly, "All of you, leave. You're not welcome here. If you continue to pester, I'll call the police!"
No emotions whatsoever!
She had made her point.
These people had realized that there was no point in causing any more trouble.
What good outcome will there be?
In the end, they could only leave the branch office with a complicated sense of regret.
At the same time, the suppliers who had betrayed her also left.
Sarah wouldn't discuss any cooperation with them.
After everyone else had left, Sarah couldn't resist the questioning from Emily and others, so she recounted what had happened at the bidding meeting.
When they heard that Sarah had accepted the Smith Group, everyone became excited!
Sarah announced that everyone would have a day off and they would go out together to eat, drink, and have fun.
They received enthusiastic applause, and then they set off.
Of course, Ryder, the chaperone, accompanied them.
