Chapter 353 Causing Trouble!
The next morning, in the Maple Real Estate President's Office.
Ryder was reviewing documents while Sophia was reporting on the company's recent business activities.
After defeating Phoenix Real Estate last time, Maple Real Estate's presence in Houston had strengthened even further.
Both real estate development and building sales had significantly increased!
At this pace, by the end of the year, Maple Real Estate's market value alone might exceed $15 billion!
It would be considered a top-tier company in Houston!
Everything within the company was steadily improving.
However, outside the company, Ryder had a number of pressing concerns.

At this moment, there was a knock on the president's office door.
"Come in!" Ryder called out.
The security chief, looking anxious, pushed open the office door and walked in, panting heavily. "Mr. Clark, something bad has happened!"
"Don't panic. Take your time and tell me what's going on," Ryder said calmly.
The security chief nodded and said, "Just now, a group of people suddenly appeared at the company entrance, dressed in black. The leader was holding a portrait and said they wanted to see you, Mr. Clark. They refused to leave.
"They also said that if you don't come down, they will keep standing there. Now, a lot of people are gathering to watch, and I'm worried that this will affect our company's reputation. What do you think?"
Hearing this, Ryder's pupils slightly contracted. He stood up and walked to the window to look down!
As expected,, he saw over twenty people dressed in black standing at the company entrance!
They were confronting the company security guards!
And not far away, some pedestrians were stopping to watch, and some curious onlookers were taking photos with their phones!
After thinking for a few seconds, Ryder said to the security chief, "Alright! I'll go down with you!"
Sophia, a bit worried, said, "Mr. Clark, could it be too dangerous? Maybe we should call in extra security to drive them away, or even call the police if necessary!"
Ryder smiled confidently. "Driving them away without understanding the situation might cause a bigger commotion. I know what I'm doing!"
After speaking, Ryder said to Rex, who was sitting on the sofa playing with his phone, "Come down with me!"
Rex nodded.
So, the three of them went downstairs, and Sophia, still worried, thought for a moment and followed them down!
As Ryder approached the company entrance, the group of people in black started shouting.
"Clark, you finally came out! We thought you were too cowardly to show your face!"
"You’d better kneel down and apologize—to us, no, to Mr. Kenneth Davis!"
"You're so despicable, even hiring a hitman to kill!"
Among the crowd, Ryder recognized the leader as Daniel.
Daniel was holding a portrait in his hand!
It was the photo of the deceased Kenneth!
'So they came for me!' Ryder thought to himself, walked forward, and calmly said, "You can't just make accusations without proof. Do you have any evidence that I hired someone to kill Kenneth?"
The crowd erupted in noisy uproar.
"Do we need evidence? Everyone knows Kenneth had a conflict with you recently. You must have held a grudge and decided to kill him!"
"That's right! An eye for an eye, a life for a life! You killed Kenneth, we won't let you go!"
In their emotional outburst, some of them tried to rush at Ryder!
The company security guards swiftly intervened, forming a barrier to keep the two groups apart.
A chaotic scuffle ensued as the two sides pushed and shoved, creating a tumultuous scene.
Ryder squinted his eyes slightly, and instead of stopping them, he sneered and scolded, "Kenneth has lost to me twice, he's a complete loser. What use do I have for his life?
"If you want to mourn, go to his grave. Even if you throw a party there, it has nothing to do with me. But if you cause trouble in front of my company and affect its image, don't blame me for being rude!"
Hearing this, the group of people turned livid with anger!
They had been Kenneth's loyal followers for many years, how could they tolerate Ryder humiliating him even after his death?
In their emotional state, they ignored the warning!
They pushed harder!
Two of them even squeezed through the crowd to attack Ryder!
But Rex stepped forward first, knocking them down with one punch each!
They fell straight to the ground!
Rex stepped in, effortlessly lifting two of the troublemakers, one in each hand, and tossed them back into the crowd. The force of his throw sent several others sprawling to the ground.
With just two simple moves, he intimidated the group!
He was so strong!
The group, who had been indignant just a moment ago, quieted down significantly!
Ryder took a couple of deliberate steps forward and addressed the crowd. "I’ve said it before—Kenneth’s death has nothing to do with me. If anyone still has a problem and wants to challenge me, come forward now!"
The group exchanged uneasy glances, but no one moved to confront him. No one dared to be the first challenger.
At this moment, Daniel walked over, staring at Ryder with a resentful expression, "I know you're powerful, Ryder. But that's no reason to bully people.
"Since you refuse to take responsibility, we will seek justice through legitimate means. We won't let Kenneth die in vain!"
He then turned to his men and shouted, "Don't forget the kindness Kenneth showed us. We've been through life and death together. Can you bear to see him die unjustly?"
"No!"
"No!"
The crowd responded one after another!
"Are you willing to go to the police station with me to press charges against Ryder?" Daniel continued to incite the group.
"Yes!"
"We must catch the murderer!"
Saying this, they really started to turn towards the police station!
At this moment, a black business car pulled up!
A tall, thin man with a hooked nose, dressed in a black robe, stepped out of the car. He moved swiftly toward Daniel and slapped him across the face.
"You fool! Who gave you the nerve to come here and cause trouble?"
Daniel, stunned, stammered, "Brian, what are you doing here?"
Daniel's men were also shocked!
Brian held a special position in the Davis family. In some ways, his words represented Mark's intentions and had to be obeyed!
"What I'm here for is none of your business! Get your people out of here, now!"
Under Brian’s stern command, Daniel and his team quickly dispersed!
Brian then walked up and apologized to Ryder, "Mr. Clark, I apologize for the disturbance caused by those ignorant fools."
