To Sarah's surprise, as soon as she finished speaking, Barbara suddenly stepped forward and tightly hugged Sarah.
Barbara's voice was choked with emotion. "Sarah, do you know how much I've missed you in all these years while I was abroad?
"Honestly, I didn't like that cold place at all! I've always wanted to come back, to find you, to get in touch with you, but my mom stopped me every time.
"I had no friends, no one to talk to. The only thing that kept me going was the memory of the time we spent together, which was the happiest time of my life."
Sarah was stunned. Barbara's sudden display of emotion was completely unexpected!
