Chapter 436 Method

In the 20th-floor office of Maple Real Estate, Ryder stood by the window, staring at the busy streets below, deep in thought.

Late last night, he got some big news: Polka Bar was raided by the cops, and they found drugs. George, one of Ryder's key guys, got arrested, and the bar was shut down for investigation.

Ryder was naturally worried. He knew George well enough to be sure he’d never mess with drugs. It was clear someone was setting him up, and Ryder had a pretty good idea who—someone called "Viper."

Steven, standing in the middle of the office with red eyes, pleaded, "Mr. Clark, you’ve got to get George out. He’s being framed!"

Ryder turned to Steven, one of George's top guys who had even fought in underground boxing matches, showing the guts and spirit Ryder admired.

"George is my guy. I won’t leave him hanging. You need to keep things steady with your crew while George is out. Don’t let anyone take advantage of this mess," Ryder said.

Steven nodded. "Got it."

"And find some smart guys to head to New York City and dig up info on 'Viper,'" Ryder added.

"Understood," Steven replied.

"Go on, then," Ryder said.

Steven bowed and quickly left.

Just as Steven exited, Sophia rushed in, looking worried. "Mr. Clark, we’ve got a problem!"

"What’s up?" Ryder asked.

"Last night, the sand factories we work with got hit by some unknown attackers. They trashed the vehicles and equipment and even hurt some workers. The factories can’t operate right now, so we’re out of sand," Sophia explained.

Ryder’s eyes narrowed. Sand was crucial for their construction projects. A few days ago, the Johnson family took over the biggest sand factory in Houston and cut ties with Maple Real Estate, already putting them in a tough spot. They had to scramble to find new suppliers and pay higher prices just to keep things going.

Now, without sand, all their projects would be delayed, costing them big time and hurting their reputation.

"Do we know who these attackers are?" Ryder asked.

Sophia shook her head. "The surveillance was destroyed, and it happened late at night. The workers didn’t get a good look at them. But they did say the attackers didn’t sound like they were from Houston—they had New York accents."

"New York City?" Ryder’s eyes lit up, connecting the dots.

The sand factories working with Maple Real Estate got hit at the same time by some unknown attackers. This had to be a planned and organized move.

Given everything that's been happening lately and the New York City accent, only Tyler Young from NYC could pull this off.

"His retaliation came quicker than I thought," Ryder muttered, a cold glint in his eyes.

Meanwhile, Heather was grinning from ear to ear. She hadn’t felt this good in ages. 'That damn Ryder is finally getting what he deserves,' she thought, feeling a rush of satisfaction.

Tyler, sitting nearby with a smug look, sipped his tea. "Grandma, ever since Ryder crossed me, I never planned to let him off easy. And considering all the crap he’s pulled on your family, he doesn’t deserve any mercy."

Heather turned, her face lighting up. "Good! The Young family’s got guts and brains. The Johnson family’s lucky to have a son-in-law like you!"

"You're too kind," Tyler said, trying to sound modest, but the pride in his eyes was obvious.

Sandra, looking worried, chimed in, "Tyler, your guy who got George into the police station did a good job, but he got caught too. Isn’t that a bit much?"

Before Tyler could respond, a voice came from the door. "Of course! How could it not be worth it?"

Everyone turned to see a man with a cobra tattoo on his bald head, exuding a sinister vibe—it was Viper!

The Johnson family was momentarily puzzled. Wasn’t he taken by the police? How did he get out?

Under their confused gazes, Viper walked up to Tyler and said respectfully, "I’m back!"

With his leg propped up, Tyler eagerly asked, "How’s it going?"

Viper replied, "According to my plan, we’ve got solid evidence that George was involved in drug trafficking at the bar. He’s now completely under police control, and all his external communications are cut off. Not just him, but most of his key guys have been arrested too. Next, we just wait for the prosecution. Even if he doesn’t get the death penalty, he’s looking at at least ten years."

The Johnson family was stunned. So ruthless?

Heather couldn’t help but ask, "Sir, what’s going on? How could just one bag of drugs easily convict George? And how did you get out?"

Viper grinned. "Actually, there wasn’t just one bag of drugs at Polka Bar, but many. Plus, the cops found drug transaction records and invoices in George’s office drawer, and even identified his transaction partners, who confessed and pointed to George as their collaborator. So, do you think George should plead guilty? As for me, since I was the informant, I got off without any trouble."

Heather gasped. Viper was truly cunning, taking down George, the boss of Houston, with just one move. It was like cutting off one of Ryder’s arms. If they could cut off the other, Ryder would have no choice but to kneel.
