Chapter 583 Shocking the Entire Internet!
The next day.
A bombshell post hit the internet, and it was all about Anna.
Here was the content:
[Ken and I were together for two years, but six months ago, things went south. I never mentioned I was gathering proof of his cheating. Without evidence, no one would believe me.
Over the past six months, I've been through shock, doubt, anger, and now, I can finally talk about it calmly, even with a bit of humor.
It's been long enough that I don't just want revenge; I want to warn other girls not to be fooled by Ken's innocent facade. Watch out for playboys!
Here's my breakup letter to Ken:
Hey Ken, surprised?]
A thousand-word letter followed.
At first, it talked about the good times they had over the past two years.
Then, the tone changed, explaining how Anna had found a secret love chat group on Ken's phone after getting an anonymous tip from a fan.
Ken was dating different girls every day! Group sex regardless of gender!
Every sentence showed Ken was a player.
It said Anna used to love Ken so much that she fell for his sweet talk.
But the truth was right there, and she had to face it.
The rest of the letter was mainly to warn other women.
Anna also thanked Ken for the good times over the past two years.
Finally, she said she didn't regret breaking up with Ken and she was happy—Breaking up was just for a better future.
The whole thing was more thrilling than a novel!
At breakfast, Ryder praised Anna, "This structure, this tone, it's clear and straightforward, exposing Ken's playboy behavior without any emotion. Very well done!"
Anna gave a bitter smile. "It was the person you recommended who was amazing. He refined it based on what I wrote!"
"After seeing his version, just like he told me, you need a pyramid structure, state the main points first, analyze layer by layer; then, criticize the disrespectful behavior towards women to resonate with female readers and highlight social responsibility; finally, express that you loved Ken but don't slander him or impulsively curse."
"I thought it made a lot of sense, so I went with it, hoping for a good outcome!"
"Donna is indeed great with media matters, so just wait for the good news." Ryder comforted.
Anna nodded. "Yeah, I hope so! Speaking of which, if Barbara hadn't told me Donna was a man, I would have thought he was a beautiful woman!"
Even though she said this, Anna still looked pretty down.
She kept eating breakfast.
Seeing this, Barbara, with a conflicted expression, suggested, "Alright, Anna, you need to stay positive. Just like the letter said, breaking up is for a better future! Besides, you still have me! I'll always be by your side, just like when we were in that socialite training camp abroad!"
"I got us tickets to Rainbow Valley Park in Aurora City today, and I've arranged for a photographer to take some photos of us! What do you think? Shall we go?"
Anna forced a smile. "Okay, let's go!"
"Sure, but take two bodyguards with you," Ryder suggested. "I'm worried Ken and the Young family might retaliate."
"Ryder, you're being too cautious. No one knows Anna is in Aurora City, and the Young family is too busy dealing with Ken's mess to bother us," Barbara retorted.
Ryder shot back, "What about you? Tyler saw you at the airport."
Barbara raised an eyebrow, her tone teasing. "So, Ryder, are you worried Tyler will take me away?"
Ryder nodded. "Sarah worries about you, and I worry about Sarah, that's all."
Barbara rolled her eyes. "Boring!"
After that, the four of them didn't say much more.
After breakfast, Barbara and Anna, along with two bodyguards, headed to Rainbow Valley Park.
Ryder felt relieved.
Then, he and Rex went to the company.
Just as they arrived at the company entrance, Brent and Eli's car pulled up too.
After greeting each other, they walked into the building and reached the chairman's office without any issues.
Ryder asked his assistant, Ashley, to notify all the senior executives of Maple Group about a meeting in the large conference room in half an hour.
Ashley looked puzzled but nodded. "Okay, Mr. Clark, I'll inform everyone."
After a slight bow, she turned to leave.
"President Brent, stop staring at her legs," Eli teased.
Brent withdrew his gaze, shaking his head. "It's not like that. I just thought she look familiar. And she was staring at me."
Eli stroked his chin and nodded. "That's true. Maybe that little assistant likes you! Are you interested? I can set a date for you."
Brent looked embarrassed. "Let's focus on the meeting. We're in direct competition with the Young family, so we need to be careful! Mr. Clark, don't you agree?"
Ryder nodded. "Indeed! But Mr. Baker has a point; career is important, but so is love!"
After their recent close cooperation, it seemed Eli and Brent had become quite familiar with each other.
Eli laughed heartily. "See, Mr. Clark is on my side."
Brent awkwardly scratched his head, then his eyes became firm. With a hint of hostility, he said, "Stop teasing me. As long as the Wallace family's great enmity is not avenged, and the Young family has not paid for their actions, I will not consider these matters!"
Ryder chuckled, "I'm just saying, whether you take it to heart is up to you. Ashley went to the same university as you, two years younger."
Ashley told him these herself when they attended the Rigal Sports Complex auction. Moreover, from Ashley's words at the time, he could sense that she had different feelings for Brent.
"Ashley?" Brent frowned, then looked slightly surprised. "It's her!"
Seeing this, Eli slapped his thigh. "Looks like there's a story!"
Ryder nodded. "Definitely."
Brent waved his hand, but his ears turned slightly red. "Nothing of the sort! By the way, there are a few points in this document that I don't understand. Let's go over them now to avoid confusion during the meeting."
